Grooming Tips:
- This electric sheep shear is designed for shearing sheep, alpacas, llamas and large thick coat animals. Please do not use it on small animals.
- For better using experience, we suggest you to use this sheep shear with lubricating oil and cooling spray. However, please notice that there is no oil and cooling spray in the package due to the limitation of international liquid transportation.
- Avoid long time usage. It would be helpful to use cooling spray every few minutes and take small breaks during shearing otherwise the machine will get hot.
- Always oil the blade before and during grooming to extend the life of the blade and prevent heat build up.
- Remember to use the brush to clean the machine, well put the carbon brush, and oil the blade after every use. To pack it and put it in a ventilated place for next use.

Did not have any problems with heating up, used on one lamb over the period of about 2 hours, taking a break about every 15 minutes. Yes, this is a long time for one lamb, but it was our first time on a 4-h project so we were taking our time and going slow to make pretty ! I did purchase and use both the blade oil and cooling spray, i would say they are necessary so get them, but get the cheapest ones. It comes with one blade, which leaves about 1/8" of wool, and i found out at show time that we should have used a second blade with a finer cut for a final pass .... if you are showing check with someone in the know on the size. Other than that, it worked great, low vibration, easy to handle for long periods, great price, i cannot imagine ever having to by another one for as little as we use it once a year, but even if you used it every day i suspect it would last for years.

Had to tell all interested that this Shear is GREAT . Easy to use right out of the box and a good value for the money.I was very surprised as to how well this shear preformed and a must buy if in need. I highly recommend this for any body but keep in mind it is a fairly heavy tool for a younger person but that's it. All in all buy one you'll love it !

Was looking for powerful clippers to cut my dogs hair. I know thats no the intended purpose and they may ne good for cutting sheep but I would not recommend for cutting a dog the channels in between the teeth are very wide and it would be very easy to cut the dog pretty bad the size and weight of the clippers make them hard to maneuver making it even more likely to cut your dog. They are very powerful but they are heavy extremely loud and get hot very fast. I did not want to give a bad review bc they may be very good clippers when used forntheir intended purpose. But if you want to cut a dog look else where. Even though they cut throw the hair like a hot knife though butter the hair cut takes longer bc you have to constantly stop to let them cool off

I LOVE THESE SHEARS UPDATE: I wanted to add a few things, because I looked back on a few reviews and got irritated. Listen, if you are buying something read everything first that the seller list! CLEARY it is stated, the oil bottle is empty, you have to buy your own, second, it states it comes with gloves so assume it gets hot! People are killing me, these shears are amazing and next spring I’ll buy a second pair so I can have another set of hands shear along side me. I will ONLY buy this brand. They are fast, sharp, and perfect. I’m searing thick thick sheep wool from over a year of age and they just cut so perfect.These bad boys are awesome! They are sharp. We have lambs and used them on a thick coat. They are sharp! Sharp! Sharp! So sharp I nicked my ewe a few times!! These get warm, but that’s because they are operating quickly. Oil bottle is empty so you can put your own oil in it. I recommend them very much do some YouTube videos first so you don’t hurt your animal. Go into it slow. Good price!

Purchased these to shear our Pyrenees to remove burrs after smaller clippers failed to go through his thick coat. These sheared well, going right through BUT they heat up to the point that you can't hold onto them after about 15 mins of use (with oil and frequent spraying of spray lube). So while they work well, if you have several dogs, goats, or sheep to do, plan on frequent cool down periods for these clippers. I have only used them a couple times so cannot comment on the durability but they work and are easy to use.

My poor mare has PPID and her hair coat is like a wooly mammoth. It's really that bad. My heavy duty horse body clippers could not cut through this hair. I thought, what do I have to lose, let's buy this sheep shearer and try. Really pleasantly surprised how quickly these things cut through this thick rough hair! I rinsed the blades about every 10 minutes in blade wash and continued cutting. They get a little warm, so I did each side of her on two different days. They cut so well that you have to be extremely careful around the thin skin on the elbows and inside legs. I accidentally cut her with these and it was a pretty deep cut. Felt so bad, but was very careful after that. Use your regular horse clippers there. But these are THE BEST clippers to remove this thick hair. I bought an extra blade, but never had to use it because they are so heavy duty. You won't be disappointed with these, as long as you cut through clean hair and keep the blades clean.

Undersized cord, got hot, excess vibration, noisy, maybe good for one animal. NOT for Professionals. I cannot imagine them lasting (at all?) as long as some of our other old clippers. We have a couple pair of Stewart that are 50 years old and still work...and these are definitely not made to that quality. Maybe good to trim your dog once in a while...very affordable...but if yu average it out over 50 years, give me the best quality and make my job easier....maybe they will smooth out after a few hours....??? or get hotter??.

Great clippers, they worked nicely on my alpacas tangled wool (they’re just pets so we don’t go to great lengths keeping their fur combed and protected from the rain). Using these shearers was like shearing butter. Unfortunately the oil that came with was all dried up for me, but I already had some on hand. I would invest in some cooling spray because it really works well with this product, I sprayed about every 2 minutes and in the two hour time frame I was shearing (with small breaks) the clippers never got extremely hot! Also, make sure the bolts holding down the blades are tight, if the biggest blade rises too much you’ll run into some issues. It’s a good chance to take them apart and clean them up before tightening the bolts and continuing shearing.

This is a great sheep shear. We got it and immediately sheared 12 sheep. We chose this one because we did not have allot to do with it. I turns out that it could stand up to any shear and work all day if needed. The unit was very comfortable to hold and maneuver while in use. We got this unit because our Oster was out for repairs and was taking too long to come back. Our Oster dealer messed up so bad they ended up giving us a brand new shear. We have not used it and the way this TAKEIT shear is working I do not think we will ever take out the Oster shear again.This is a great product and I highly recommend it. It is defiantly worth the investment.Thanks for your time.

Super happy with these clippers and the follow up service from the seller. These clippers are super sharp and the adjustable speed makes it easier for beginners. Don't judge the clippers based on my first ever clip job. I left the wool just a little longer to be sure I didn't nick the sheep. These are not super quiet but I didn't mind it. They need to cool down every so often but it also wasn't an issue for me. They feel solid and sturdy and I believe they will last a long time. I would buy these again.
