Oh duck! I bought the wrong item to groom my golden doodles, had to return it, i feel like it was to powerful for my doods and would have probably been like taking a jackhammer to plywood:) great quality though… for larger animals!

Got these to use on horses, they take the hair but then you need to clip again with something better to remove all the lines. So not sure it’s really worth it.

I have mostly mules and I normally just roach their manes. I have a name brand trimmer that I splurged on last year and the clippers seemed to get dull very quickly on the course hair. They are corded and lightweight, and for a big name brand I'm disappointed. I ordered these monsters and they are heavy, but they cut through everything! I'm 64 and at first I thought I wouldn't be able to manage the weight but old horse women are hard to stop. Once I got going I totally forgot the weight. They are not great for the final touches of roaching a mane but I now have a mule with cushings! These monster clippers took off his super thick, curly, long hair very quickly. I stopped often to oil, but the clippers didn't get as hot as I expected. I never had to take a break to let them cool, just clean, oil and go!I was concerned about these being an off brand but I have used them about 3 hours, have taken them apart to clean and re-assembled and I think they are great. They come with an extra set of blades too. For the price I would recommend them.

I got this for a really big dog, Little clippers definitely were going to take forever. I'm really happy they were easy to use saved me 100s of dollars not having to use the groomer.

Purchased these in early June (its now July 5). The noise is a little excessive - they remind me of 1980s Osters before some of the improvements, and the balance of the motor casing isn't the best especially for those of us with smaller hands. That said, the actual function was quite good. Notice I said, was. Because the first time we took off the blades to clean hair out of them, they refused to turn back on. And so we currently stand. I've fiddled with them a little to see if its just a loose switch or the like but so far to no avail.

These are not your everyday shears. If you have an animal with dense thick fur these shears will plow right through. A bit noisier than the typical shears so make sure to acclimate them to the noise before use.

Bigger, heavier, and more powerful that expected. We got this to clip the legs/bodies for our horses. It does a good job producing a nice, clean, and even clip. No issues with snagging, binding, or noticeable motor stress while clipping at a steady pace. These are not the quietest clippers, so hopefully your animals are already desensitized and comfortable around noisy clippers.

Do not try to use these on a sheep dog or any kind of dog with that type of thick coat it will cut them. It’s one hellva set of clippers just to aggressive for dogs.
