Perfect for a glass shelf I had. Soft, rubber lip holds without scratching the glass. Protects nicely. Just wish sold in smaller package than 40. I got 36 extra sitting now in my workshop. But price was reasonable, so worth it.

These arrived on time, and in new condition. The bronze finish works well with traditional or otherwise darker furniture. The sleaves are adequate to provide some protection and vibration isolation for glass shelves. However: though the ad states that these are 1/4", they are slightly smaller (probably 6mm).I used a small piece of painter's tape on each post, to compensate.Once the shelves are in place, the supports won't fall out.So, not being a full 1/4" is not an issue IF the 1/4" holes are drilled in HARDWOOD.Be careful using these supports to hold shelves in pine, other soft wood or composite materials. The confidence is not as high as if these posts were snug fitting, true 1/4", as described.I doubt these supports would break under any reasonable load - but wood is not as strong as metal.
