I've tried several furniture gliders, but these Adhesive Slide Glide Furniture Sliders are by far the best I've come across! What I really love about them is the combination of self-adhesive backing and a pre-drilled screw hole. This ensures they stay in place even when you're moving heavy furniture. The screws included make it super easy to secure them permanently, so you won't have to worry about them slipping out or losing their grip. These gliders work great on carpet and are incredibly durable. I highly recommend these to anyone who needs reliable furniture gliders. I’m so impressed that I’m planning to buy more!

These are perfect for the couch to easily move to clean behind it. We took the legs off so that the dog toys wouldn’t go under it. But that meant we had to have a way to attach them to the couch. Now it slides perfectly on the carpet with no damageIt came quickly and work great

This is a well-designed product: the material is some sort of soft plastic that slides easily over hardwoord yet not so easily it's unstable; it can be attached by its double-sided adhesive, or the adhesive can be removed and it attached with a supplied screw; the screw head sits in a well deep enough that the head couldn't scratch the floor (you could also cover the head to be doubly sure), and the bottom of the well has an inlaid metal washer so the slider is securely held in place. All in all, very good product.

Rating these 5 stars even though the screws included do not work on my . The chairs have a grippy silicone insert on the bottom of the legs, exactly the same size as the Shepherd sliders, but screws have to be a little longer to reach penetration. I used the stick-on option temporarily until I can find screws the exact size I need. Too short and they don't penetrate the silicone, too long and they hit the hard plastic of the chair, thereby weakening it. I'll find them and make the permanent attachment, but the adhesive sliders are staying in place perfectly meanwhile. The silicone grippers are exactly opposite of what is needed on the vinyl flooring, causing difficulty sliding the chairs under the table. The Shepherd sliders are the perfect answer to the issue.UPDATE 9/14/17: Proper sized screws now installed for the plastic chairs with guide hole drilled and tightened down snugly... I am very pleased with the result because I feel it adds a lot of security to those fairly expensive chairs. The screw length is in no way Shepherd Hardware's fault, they include screws that would fit almost any other chair, but the ghost chairs have about a one inch space before the screw hits home.UPDATE 3/26/18: 6 months later, not one single problem with these staying screwed in place and sliding nicely on the vinyl flooring.

I am using these for my 8 wood dining chairs that sit on our tiled floor. I had applied these to 4 chairs when I wrote my original review >. Then I decided to use a larger drill bit than I normally would as it seems these screws just can’t bite into the wood on their own (another reviewer said these are sheet metal screws, so maybe that’s the problem). Since these screws have a Phillips head that allows for a fat flat head screwdriver, I drove the final 16 screws in that way.After applying these to all my dining chairs, they no longer make a screeching sound when pushing the chairs in after we get up from the table. They glide more smoothly (on our tile floors) whether the chairs are occupied or empty.I tested them on my wood floor. They don’t glide as easily & I’d be afraid that over time, as the glider wears down, it might scratch the wood. Tested on my wool Persian rug & the chair won’t slide while sitting on it. Tested on my low pile cut loop carpet & they don’t move. I’m only 125#, so that’s not the reason they don’t glide on carpet.To make them look good on my stained chairs, I did the following:• removed the white pad from the glider• used a black marker on the visible part (4 sides) of the grey gliders• centered the glider on the bottom of my chair leg & marked the hole with my drill bit• set the glider aside & drilled my hole into my chair leg the full length of the screw• lined up the glider & applied the screw using a hefty flat head screw driver - don’t ever tighten or washer will push through the black base• then I set the chairs upright & could barely see the new (black) gliders on the bottoms of my chair legsOriginal review, titled: “Not worth the money or the aggravation†The pad that has adhesive on it squishes unevenly when using it, so I removed them. The white adhesive pad against the black base looks tacky anyway.The black part of the disc is too soft which allows the metal washer that is embedded in it to push through while applying the screw.>>

Proper size, manufacturer did not scrimp on quality. Had both a screw hole and sticker tape so the installation was quick and convenient. Didn't have to hold the piece in place when you screwed to the wood. Used to keep moisture from damaging the legs of an outdoor potting bench with 1" square legs. I highly recommend this product.
