They work! Instructions explain how to use them. It's super easy. My loafers also have the heightening pads inserted to riase the instep. This set also comes with inserts to widen for bunions, and a black bag for storage. It was a great deal even though I don't have bunions.I am returning this item because it only works for low profile shoes. I need one for boots and high heels. I will need to purchase the L shaped shoe stretchers which will work for all shoe types.

I will start by stating that I have a VERY high arch and my toe box is wide. This makes finding shoes that fit through the vamp (the top of the foot) really difficult. I bought a pair of leather closed toe sandals online and as they were adjustable across the instep I thought they might fit well. However, the shoe vamp was so low that it pinched the top of my foot. I love the shoes so I didn’t want to return them, so I thought to try a shoe stretcher. These came in just 2 days and were super easy to adjust. The plastic foot mold is thick, sturdy and very smooth and the stretcher rod is heavy and adjustable. It’s possible to stretch the shoes top to bottom (the vamp), side to side, and length wise. I didn’t need length so I only tightened the heel stretcher enough to keep it in place. Then I adjusted the foot mold to stretch as far as I could side to side and inserted the vamp stretcher (a solid piece of plastic that gives you stretch top to bottom). I used a spray called Shoe Stretch to dampen the leather and let them sit for 24 hours. The shoes now fit PERFECTLY!!! I currently have them in a pair of canvas slip on shoes that I had the same problem with and couldn’t return because I got them on sale. I am no longer afraid to order shoes online because now I have a solution when they aren’t designed to fit!

works to stretch shoes you just have to work it as instructed gave it 4 stars because couldn't use the plugs on both sides didn't pop in other wise it was effective .

I had washed and dried my tennies in the dryer which shrunk them a bit. So I ordered the shoe trees to help re-stretch. They are made of hard polycarbonate material (think motorcycle helmet) and surgical steel grade material. You can stretch shoes lengthwise or width. Also if you have bunions or corns little pieces come with the shoe trees to be inserted in certain spots to stretch those particular areas. I also think it was a great value for the money.

No lie the BEST MONEY I ever spent. I bought these expensive brand shoes that I saved up for forever when they had a sale. First time I ever bought this brand and went by the size chart they had on their website. They came in from overseas and I was so excited to try them on but they wouldn't go over my heel without them digging into my skin super painfully. I was SO DISAPPOINTED especially because they were going to charge me return shipping and everything to have them exchanged. I decided to order these shoe stretchers instead because they were less than half the price of the return shipping for the shoes. I put them in the shoes as instructed on the manual and twisted the heel stretcher until the material was very tight but not too deformed, then left them alone over a 24 hour period. I loosened the stretchers and removed them today and tried to slip the shoes on and THEY FIT. A PERFECT FIT. I was so happy that I immediately came on here to review. So glad I bought this product, I'll probably use them on a few other pairs as well that rub my heels. I couldn't be happier!

It says to leave this product in for about 24 hours. I put it in a new pair of boots and left it in for three days while I was away. When I took them out, the boots look like they would be perfect and they felt perfect, for a couple of hours. Then it just went back to too tight too bad.

The shoe stretcher is easy to use and works amazingly well. I've been able to lengthen my kid's shoes enough to go up at least half a size, which means we don't have to get new shoes as often for growing feet. Because these expand to widen shoes, I now have more shoe opportunities for my child since I can make a regular shoe a wide fit shoe!
