I replaced my brass flag clips on my flagpole twice, so now I got these stainless steel clips. I am going to see if I can get more than a couple of years of life.

Replaced the lanyard and snap hooks on my flagpole. The original snap hooks had almost worn out after 2 years, so it was time for some maintenance. Only time will tell how these work, but they seem pretty good. I do like the snap action on these, it seems to be much more effective for removing and installing flags than the older versions I was using.

Am using for animal leads and for that they are great, the finish is smooth, the spring seems good, and the swivel looks like large dogs, goats, etc. would have a long tough time ( most likely never ) to cause failure. For Marine use I would use for things like a lifeline gate, quick temporary skiff line, or the many other things you will figure a use for. I would caution you to use only a true locking snap shackle for critical uses like anchoring gear or Spinnaker sheet snap as these are regular snaps. I think I will get more, and if you need a snap you should too.! The places to look at for future wear and QC out of the package are the spring function and the weld and fit of the yoke around the stud/post. Awesome deal so far, they appear very well built.
