The table is ruff making it difficult for the wood pieces to glide across the spindle sander.

I have a few shopfox products. Most of them are great. But this sander does not meet my standards. First off, to no fault but my own, I should have gone for a different brand spinels sander that also allows you to use it as a belt sander. Now I’ll be looking for another tool to accommodate my needs. But, the tool itself is not that great. The impeller at the base of the spindle rubs against the base plate as it reciprocates. I called the manufacturer and they instructed me to pry the piece down with a screw driver. Not ideal. The sanding drums that come with it tend to slip after a few minutes use making the tool useless and sometimes jeapordizing the project. And on top of all of this, the unit is extremely heavy. Much heavier than it needs to be. Hope this helps someone.
