I purchased this tool out of an interest in verifying the durometer rating printed on polyurethane and rubber products, because of vastly different experiences with urethane formulas from different companies claiming to have the same durometer rating. Well, as it turns out, the manufacturers in question indeed misrepresent their products actual durometer rating, and now I test everything for fun.

I ordered this Durometer to measure the hardness of the foam and rubber in the soles of various running shoes I have bought. I want to understand how the hardness of the outsole affects the wear and durability of the shoes along with the hardness of the midsole foam and the effect it has on how plush or harsh they may feel on my feet. I’ve had this one for almost 8 months. It came in a nice red plastic clamshell case and with an extra CR2032 battery.

While I cannot vouch for accuracy I will say it's very consistent in measurement. It appears well made, comes with a handy case as you would expect an instrument as well as instructions...I will upgrade rating after I put on more miles...at this point I would recommend this product.

I'm really impressed by the quality of the meter. Its accuracy is far better than the ones that I used in the past. Also, it's very easy to use. Just read the user manual once about other functions of the meter and you're good to go. Really recommended.

These testers are available with different tips depending on the hardness of the materials to be tested. They work well withing their intended range, but you do need to be sure you get the tip for the hardness range you intend to test.

It does the job very well, measuring the hardness of polyurethane samples from our molding process. Simple to use, good instructions, and very legible display. We are very satisfied.

Je l'utilise pour mesurer la dureté de caoutchouc tel que les revêtements de tennis de table.L'article est ok, assez précis, livré dans une boîte.Une notice avec quelques explications, échelles de mesures et comme calibrer la machine aurait été parfait.D'où les 4 étoiles.
