My meter freezes up and I need to remove the battery to take a reading. It's not every time but enough to makes me question my purchase. Because of this issue I am worried about the accuracy. Many vendors sell an identical unit so purchasing from somewhere else will probably be a repeat of this one.

So, the dial has to be viewable at eye level which most of the time is not practical. It's a bit of a "Hit an Miss" thing to get an accurate reading. It probably is accurate but without a test sample it's not possible to tell.
