About this item

  • Double pole, 50 Amp, 240V type QPH Circuit Breaker
  • 22,000 AIC interrupting rating
  • Siemens type QPH circuit breakers provide easy plug-in connections in Siemens enclosures
  • Compatible with Siemens PL and ES series load centers
  • Use for overload and short-circuit protection of your electrical system

Siemens offers a wide array of thermal-magnetic circuit breakers that are the key element for overload and short-circuit protection of your home's electrical system. To provide additional protection Siemens offers circuit breakers to protect against severe electrical shock or electrocution, mitigate the risk of electrical fires and protect against damaging surges and Voltage spikes. Circuit breakers are intended for switching and protection of your home's wiring from high temperatures caused by excess current higher than the rating of the wire. While thermal-magnetic circuit breakers are the key element for overload and short-circuit protection of your electrical system, there are potentially dangerous conditions that do not involve over current. To ensure the warranty on a Siemens panel is not voided, the use of Siemens breakers is required. Siemens strongly recommends against the use of "used" breakers. The installation of used breakers in a Siemens panel will void the warranty on the panel. Siemens does not sell used breakers and has not approved any 3rd party sellers to do so.

Not much I can say about a circuit breaker, but as expected from this brand, the quality is very good and fit like a glove. Purchased this to install a Tesla charger. Works great.

This Breaker is a must for EV charge circuits, especially with 40 amp after-market cord sets. Most hardware store supplied breakers are rated 10k amp fail-safe short circuit current. This unit is for industrial use and allows a higher 22k Amp fail-safe current on trip (note the "H" suffix on the model number). THE fringe benefit for EV users is this breaker doesn't get nearly as hot when subjected to hours-long near capacity current draws. I ran my charger 8+ hours at 40 amps and the breaker was only mildly warm to the touch. The old breaker would often hum loudly and got hot enough to be of concern.

The breaker delivered was broken in two places. Need a refund of this breaker!

For a 50 amp breaker using 6-4 wire it wouldn't fit into breaker unless you trim a few strains to make it smaller. The screws are Phillips head instead of Allen head. China junk

Our range has both a top and bottom oven with normal and convection, and 4 induction burners. While I doubt we'd ever use all at once, better safe than sorry to meet code. This breaker was just what we needed, and at a great price - it was either unavailable locally, or priced in the stratosphere to get it anywhere nearby. Snapped right into our power panel.

The breakers fit the panel with ease. Perfect for use with panel surge protector. We will see how they will hold up during next thunder storm.

High quality, csa approved. Overpriced but beggars can’t be choosers.
