The SPD1168 features a high precision programmable output capable of delivering up to 16 V/8 A and also includes a 4-wire sense function for more accurate voltage sourcing, especially for long leads or high resistance connections. Overall - This single-output power supply is very accurate, this makes it perfect for a home lab. It comes with some "high-end" features like timer/wave which are very helpful for overnight testing and power profiling.Good - It is a very accurate power supply with 0.01V resolution. It comes with time/wave functions and a really nice display that will also show the current measurement of the output.Bad - With 12.5 inch length (with power cable attached) it doesn't fit on my lab top shelf, I need to put it on the main desk taking some good space.

Used one time and it was accurate and setup was easy. 2nd time the display would not work. Returned and now trying a cheaper model.

I've been using this near constantly for two months, no issues.Power seems to be clean, although I haven't put a scope on it yet. Voltage is within a few hundredths of a volt of setting as measured by my Fluke 177.Love the four-wire measurement capability.

We bought one of these on research funds.A) the unit hangs about 50% to 80% of the time we try to access it over USBB) Instructions to update the firmware, require a windows machine, and even then, their program says the firmware file for that device (SPD1168X), does not match the hardware.C) It took a few days to get a response to the support request submitted through their website. I did not find a simpler more direct way to reach support, if there is one.So all in all, the Siglent is a completely miserable, frustrating experience, for us it is a $240 paper weight.For comparison, our BK Precision supply works like a champ, right out of the box.

I use this in my lab pretty much every day for powering radios and other equipment.The programmability is a nice feature and is surprisingly well documented in the manual. Just plug it into your network and you can open a socket to it and control the outputs, take measurements, etc.
