After some research I heard this specific card works with a Forcusrite Saffire Pro-40 with Windows 10, and a more modern motherboard. It indeed does, and I highly recommend it to my other audio engineers, and artists. It's great that I can use this external fire-wire interface with a more modern Ryzen 7 motherboard with more memory, and better performance. It's a little overpriced, but worth it.

My Focusrite external audio interface stopped working when I switched from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Focusrite stated in a support ticket that the interface works with a Texas Instruments chipset and mentioned this card specifically. The more common IEEE1394 chipset is from VIA. Repeat: This is not a VIA chipset, and does work with Focusrite firewire audio interfaces in Windows 10. Build quality is good. Well made. Installs easily.

This SIIG NN-FW0012-S1 PCI-E Controller Card, has Texas Instruments chip set, and works perfectly with my UAD Universal Audio Apollo Quad Firewire audio interface. SIIG is a very good brand!
