I have used this mat a few times now for our D&D games. It's super easy to draw on and erase but the marks don't smear or fade without intentionally wiping them off with rubbing alcohol. I'm very happy with it!

Works well with dry erase. Does need alcohol to remove but I like that feature as you can roll it up without worrying about loosing the details on the map. We keep it rolled up and it still lays flat every time without any weights needed.

Where silicon ttrpg maps are becoming exceedingly rare, Ergon games really came through. This map can be easily folded or rolled to be placed in a tube if you have one, and the best part is that it does this with 0 shape memory. Meaning that when you lay it flat on the table, it stays flat on the table. No rolling in on itself, no creases, just a perfect flat surface to game on without worrying about launch your minis to the stratosphere mid-game. No extra frame parts that takes too long to set up. Just flop, draw (even beforehand) and play.

Most vinal mats stay curled up and tend to stain with drywipe markers. This lays flat as well as semi-skid proof if players bump the table. I also like how the die "bounces" slightly on the matt. I plan to get a few more as my other DM friends look upon me with envy. Gifts to gamers as the price is affordable for such a great matt.

Such a wonderful idea. Easy to transport without having to worry about creating new creases. Rolls out flat without requiring weights to hold down corners, no waiting for the mat to unfold before sessions. Beautiful and simplistic markings that dont distract from the setting. The dry erase I put on the mats does not come off very easily on its own making it perfect for transport without worrying about my maps being messed up, but once you need to erase the markings it comes up right away with baby wipes and can be remarked right away. They thin enough for easy use and transport but thick enough to not be fragile.I had been hesitant to purchase these because of the price and I had considered buying regular silicone mats and making my own but this has been entirely worth it. They're a great size, the hex and squares look great, and the material it's made of is perfect. If you're thinking about making your own just know that these are well worth the money and are going to be better than anything you could make at home. Not to mention the fact that most silicone mats out there are not the right color to suit being a play mat and are mostly not good quality material from the reviews I've seen. The only problem is something I've seen others comment on. The mats come folded and im assuming are stored that way as well. Sadly this creates permanent creases in the mat that make it stick up enough to make it hard to keep minis on without them falling over. If the packaging was changed so it comes rolled instead of folded then this product would be perfect. I'm still hoping the creases will go away with time but so far nothing has changed. Will update if anything changes.

After looking at the map options online, I decided to give this one a chance based on the reviews. Things like the lack of crease lines, writing staying on until you want it to come off, and the soft grippy feeling all really appealed to me. My experience has been that all these things are true. A would advise just buying dry erase markers rather than wet erase. The wet erase just didn't show up vibrant enough, while the dry erase where bright and bold. Everything erased cleanly, and the mat just feels good to the touch, and while playing. Excellent product, excellent customer service.

We'd been using a mat that folded into fourths, but it was peeling and stained after less than a year of use. This mat is only a few dollars more, and is so much better! The markings are clear and distinct, and wet and dry erase markers work wonderfully! It does ship folded, but after laying on the table overnight all the creases were gone. Highly recommend this if you're looking for a more durable, reusable battle map.

The Problem:The material is great, works as advertised and lies flat. That said I bought this so it would lie flat, you know completely flat. The mat comes tightly folded in a box and the creases which that made are terrible. The material is so good! Why not find a way to pack and ship so we don't have this problem! Just because you can fold it doesn't mean you should...The process trying to get out the creases:I left it to relax for several days, nearly no change.I placed a towel over it and ironed, a lot of improvement but the cornering creases are still pretty bad, and the folds still wanting to rise.I left it weigh down with books for about week now, and bit better still but the creases are still there and folds still rising. When I get around to it, I'll try ironing it again with the towel and leave it weighed down.Cleaning:It's silicone so a little stretchy, dry erase not terrible but not as easy as a plastic mat. Wet erase, for me, is the way to go with this mat.Using / DrawingStretchy so when I draw on it normally it grabs a bit, not a problem and I learned to draw on it easily.

Such a great mat!The fact that this is made of silicone makes it really durable and it feels so high quality. Compared to other mats you can get, this one is only like £5 more than some really bad ones, and it’s so worth it. It’s a standard sized mat and it’s really easy to wipe down with a little water. Highly recommend!

Came earlier than estimated which is always a plus. Can’t wait to use this in my DnD games going forward

This mat ticks all the boxes: it's effortlessly portable and doesn't crease easily, lays flat instantly, it's waterproof, easy to draw on, and only rubs off when you really mean it (but still comes off easily when you do).I cannot fault this mat in any way, highly recommend.

Huge fan of this gaming mat. It always lays perfectly flat, it's a good size, it's spill-proof if players want to be eating/drinking during a game, and a cheap pack of dry-erase markers make it easy to sketch out a map with as much or as little detail as I want. Also, I live in a small apartment with three pets and the hair doesn't stick to this mat, which is a huge bonus. It's a little pricey, but in the end much cheaper and easier than building fancy battle maps, and it's super versatile.Cleaning requires a little more elbow grease than I expected, even using isopropyl alcohol to get rid of the markers, but that's not enough of a downside for me to deduct a star. And once it is clean it looks brand new.
