UPDATE: Simple Modern was VERY easy to work with and resolved the issues extremely quickly by sending a replacement. We also enjoyed Simple Modern, and we will continue to order not only for their great products but also their phenomenal customer service!ORIGINAL: Packed my son’s breakfast in the bento box only two days. The second day, when opening the lid, the pin securing the lid broke and fell out of place. Contacting Simple Modern.. will update with how they proceed. Other than that, print is adorable and the bento box is just as any other!

I recently purchased the Simple Modern Bento Lunch Box for my kids, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! This lunchbox is a game changer for our busy mornings. UPDATE:I reached out to customer service and had a response within 24 hours. After providing them with the receipt and picture of the broken lid, they have sent a replacement. They were extremely responsive and went above and beyond to rectify the broken lid. I have updated the review to five stars due to loving the lunchbox because it’s leakproof, but also due to their amazing customer service.To preface this, I have reached out to support and I’m hoping for a timely resolution. In the meantime, I wanted to provide my review to warn other parents not to purchase this product as it’s defective. School just started last week and my son has used this particular lunch box twice. While cleaning it today, the piece that locks the lid to keep it from leaking broke. I did purchase two so I have another one. That’s so far has no issue. If I hear from support, I will update this with the resolution.

After 3 years of using this lunchbox it's still holding up magnificently. The design on the lid hasn't faded any. Totally leak proof and incredibly easy to clean! Live it, definitely recommend.

The design and sturdiness of the lunchbox is great. It is very easy to clean, and the inner part and the rubber gasket are both extremely easy to take out to clean and put back once dry. It can be put in the dishwasher as well, which is great. The portion slots are okay, a sandwich must be cut down to fit, there are 2 super small slots, which are al little small but okay. It does get the job done, you just need to cut the food/lunch items down a bit to get them to fit in some of the slots. Very easy for a young kid to open and close.

I bought three of these Simple Modern bento boxes for my 2 and 4 year old (one was a spare) and within the first 2 months, the latch broke because the hinge is just a tiny pice of plastic (less than 1/4) AND they are hard to latch. It’s a terrible design. I sent a message to the company and they needed a photo of the broken latch, photo of the bottom of the entire bento box, and photo of a the receipt. All easy enough just time consuming for a busy working mom that bought these because normally Simple Modern is good quality. They said they did not have the individual parts so they sent me an entire new lunch box on the first one. (That broke in less than a month). Don’t bother with these unless you want to be preparing lunch at 10pm for the next day and have them break and be out of luck. I tried to get a replacement for the other two yet.

I had my eye on this bento box for a while! I’m so happy I finally bought it for my daughter!First impression is it’s the cutest design I have ever seen! The colors are so pigmented and pretty!Secondly, the durability and quality in this product is unreal! I’m impressed with the quality of material but it doesn’t feel super heavy!Love the insert and it was easy to pull out and put back in which is great for my toddler! The portion sizes are great to be able to give my child a variety for lunch. The entire bento box is awesome!

Nos gustó mucho. La compramos para nuestro kindergardiano, hasta el momento ningún problema. Es segura, no hay filtraciones ni derrames. A considerar: es un poco pesada y no tiene espacio para cubiertos. Son las únicas observaciones que le harÃa. Por lo demás, es bonita, los colores son lindos y el material es de buena calidad. Por el tamaño de los compartimentos yo dirÃa que es más bien para niños.
