Having had positive experiences with Simthread’s metallic and embroidery thread, I was anxious to try their new 100% polyester sewing thread. I ordered a neutral grey color and was delighted to find four huge spools (5,000 yards each) that will last me a very long tine. Because it is grey, it will go with almost any fabric color or pattern. I did a test sew with both regular and decorative stitches and it was flawless. I then proceeded to make a shoulder bag and was very pleased with how strong the thread was and how easily it went through my machine. (The decorative stitches on the bag border were done with their black and metallic silver embroidery thread.) Simthread again hit it out of the park with another affordable product for those who enjoy home sewing and crafts. Give it a try.

For the past several weeks I have been using this thread to piece quilt my Lori Holt quilt. I am using my Featherweight machine for this project. My machine LOVES this thread. The seams are stitched beautifully and the thread does not make it bulky to sew a 1/4 seam allowance. The thread is strong and the off white color blends beautifully. I look forward to purchasing different colors. The one thing I did notice is it does "lint" a little bit more than the more expensive brands. BUT, I would rather pull a little bit of lint out of my bobbin case than pull more $$ out of my wallet!

First of all, this brand of sewing thread works perfectly with my trusty old Singer 974 sewing machine that I have had now for almost 25 years.It is smooth, with very little lint build-up on my needle, and most importantly no breakage while stitching.I purchased a box of the 5500 yard rolls in the Cream colour since I am currently on a canvas tote bag sewing spree, and I almost emptied a 500 yard spool of the same thread sewing 4 bags. The Cream colour thread on the 500 yard spool just disappears into the unbleached canvas I am using, but the Cream in the 5500 yard spool is more of a Beige than a Cream. It's almost the same colour as the box it's packaged in.I thought that since they were the same brand, just different size spools, they would be the same colour.Now I will have to buy the Ivory White and hope it's a better match.

I bought 4 spools of thread and it’s great but I didn’t realize how big they are.. I’ll probably never use all 4 in my lifetime
