This was a fantastic price! I go through a lot of the size 14 sewing machine needles, and these are not some weird brand, or dubious quality. My machine is an expensive Singer but I rarely find Singer brand machine needles at a really good price., unless I catch a sale at the fabric store. Could not have bought these, at this price, even on sale at the store. They were delivered so quickly, a huge relief because I had just tossed my last #14. I put one of these in, and it is always great to see how smoothly a new needle sews. I change needles after every 2nd project and they are not cheap.It was great to order online, the price is right.

My daughter wanted to learn to sew so we got her a sewing machine for Christmas. Somehow she managed to break ALL the needles that came with the machine lol. Had I known I would have ordered these when we ordered the machine to begin with. Better to have and not need than need and have to wait for shipping lol.

My sewing times are intermittent these days. When I do make time to sit down and work on a project, whether it's something new, or just mending, it's important to have fresh sewing needles available. Trying to get by with whatever you have on hand can lead to a LOT of frustration. Dulled or burred needles can cause your thread to fray or break. Uneven stitching can also happen, which defeats the purpose of machine sewing in the first place.I don't rely on the Universal type for working on knits, unless its for a very small repair. I've found it's best to switch to a true ball point needle. For general purpose sewing, especially on cotton fabrics, these are a good way to go. It's not necessary to use Singer needles on a Singer sewing machine, but it sure doesn't hurt, either.
