Perfect kit. Parts are very well made and machined. Very easy to install. Did a full flush then added in this kit. Coolant flows clear and I don't see any deposits in the overflow tank. After this and the flush, my coolant and oil temps are mush more in sync than where they were. While I doubt this will cure all ails, its a great piece in making your powerstroke a workhorse for years to come.

Inexpensive insurance for your 6.0!! Keeps your oil cooler and egr cooler (if you still have it) from plugging up with silicates and blowing your head gaskets. Added bonus is it looks good under the hood! Remember to get a few extra filters your going to need them. You use up a couple pretty quick, after that change the filter about every oil change or when the filter doesn't get hot( it's plugged with stuff). EASY install with good directions. If you still have a factory degas bottle cap do yourself a favor and get a 5 buck stant 16psi cap also. The factory caps never holds pressure and boils your coolant! That is why the coolant broke down in the first place. Happy day

Excellent product, and easy to install. I bought this to help filter my coolant after having to replace a oil cooler. I didn't want to have to go through that fiasco again. I flushed and flushed and flushed and flushed the system to clear out any more contaminants. I was shocked that after only five hundred miles this filter had collected all kinds of sandy particulate matter. If you buy this system, expect it to work, and expect to change filters at 500 miles, 1,000 miles, 2,000 miles, and then about every 3,000 to 5,000 miles to keep your system nice and clean. I would 1000% recommend this product.

Well made and great looking product. Install instructions are easy to read as long as you know your way around your engine bay. The Blue really pops under the hood like all Sinister products. The XDP version actually is probably the better pick though. Instead of having to cut two lines, you only have to cut the heater hose. The other line comes already attached to the T. You just remove the existing hose and use the same clamps. One less spot to spring a leak.If Sinister were to change that one thing this product would be 5 stars all day. As for filtering this thing works great. Removed my first filter after 500 miles and it was filled with rust particles and casting sand. Replaced with Napa filter 4070. Will replace after another 1000 miles.

Kit came before it was expected and was well packaged. The package list stated that there was supposed to be a roll of Teflon tape but it was not in the package. Had plenty in the garage so this was not big deal but might slow up the install for someone that had none available. Took approx. 30 minutes from start to finish to install and fit perfectly. Would recommend this kit to other 6.0 owners that want a little extra piece of mind that the coolant is being filtered and not clogging the EGR cooler with crud.

As a product in and of itself the Sinister Diesel Coolant Filtration Kit does it's job. If you want to get the gunk out of your coolant, it works. The proof is in the coolant filter, where particles that would otherwise be caking it up and plugging your oil cooler have been filtered out. You definitely need to flush your coolant system out (reverse flush is best), use the VC9 Motorcraft iron cleaner or Restore. Before you install the coolant filter, it's a good time to clean out the coolant system and evaluate the oil cooler. If your oil cooler is plugged, you probably want to go ahead and replace it. Go ahead and get that done before putting on coolant filter. Filtering coolant for an already clogged oil cooler is a waste of a coolant filter and time. And warning about VC9, it can dislodge gunk from the system that will find a home in the oil cooler. Reevaluate what kind of coolant you're going to fill the system with, whether it's Premium Gold or an ELC, learn and decide for yourself about the sludge theories concerning the stock Gold coolant. Get a 16psi degas cap. It's all a worthwhile project to keep a great truck out of the shop. So take time to do it right and tackle other projects along with this product, because the coolant filter is a preventative measure, and it is excellent at its job. Five stars

Been trying to get ahold of Sinister Diesel for about two weeks because they shipped my kit without the mounting bracket and was trying to see if they would send me one. No confirmation so far on what they are planning to do. Customer service has been poor unfortunately… sad because i like their products
