If you are going to use the touch screen this stand is not very steady. I have another show 8 with the old Amazon stand. It is rock solid. My old show 8 is up higher and I need the angle down to see the screen but I never touch the screen. So I swapped the stands. This after market stand sets the angle I need ok. Of course there is not any other choice that I know of. This stand might be OK with a show 5 which is lighter and less bulkier.

The stand is good except for the little piece that connects the two. It seems really flimsy. But overall it does hold echo. It's not broke. It does move easily when touched.
