I purchased these for my 3 grands ages 5, 7, and 12. I am an artist by trade and always encourage artistic development in our youth! I buy these a few times a year and they are always loved and used! My grands use them with colored pencils, markers, and crayons and even acrylic pens - which do bleed through a bit. I also use these with my own design sketches and project ideas. The flip top is my preference and it has a fairly sturdy cover and back.

The gage of the paper is excellent with no bleed through. The 100-sheet pad was exactly what I was looking for.
