I wasn't sure how to use this product, but I knew I needed to replace what was in my fireplace. I looked for videos on how to apply, and what a difference! I recommend cleaning fireplace yearly and replace lava rocks, vermiculite, and wool for a beautiful warm fireplace. Definitely a great value for the money!

After 13 years of removing the glass and cleaning it and losing bits of the existing vermiculite (tan/gold in color), one package was perfect for filling in the thin areas. I chose black and I love how it looks mixed with the gold color!

This is crap. It is like wood charcoal that is not suited for a gas fireplace. It is a rip off and crap. This company should be ASAHMED of themselves for selling this crap to people where you can cause respiratory issues and may even cause a fire. Amazon, please take notice!
