The bigAMP Inrush Current Limiters are specially designed thermistors able to withstand up to 36 amperes of continuous current and 260 joules of input energy. Applications include switching power supplies, AC motors, uninterruptible power supplies, and frequency generators.

ECM motors replacement cost, $375 -$450 and this part is a couple bucks...It's an overload, and it can be crimped on, or soldered on old terminals after failed one is removed...It's a common fault with ECM motor's and this puts them, back in service.,,,Saved a bundle.

Bought this September 2022 and it's still going strong. HVAC guy told me I had to replace my whole unit. He showed me the inside of the fan motor and said this got fried. Didn't tell me I could just solder on a new one, conveniently left that out. I looked at it and thought why can't I just replace that part. Found this listing, read reviews of similar situations and gave it a shot. still going strong!

Good repair for most x13 ecm modules on those motors according to You Tube, but not mine. I am convinced this is a great value attempt at fixing an expensive ecm x13 hvac motor but in my case it just did not work. I am familiar with some of the credible youtuber's that demo doing this with a high % of success and I believer it is a good first try. Requires clipping the old one out and soldering the new one in to the stubby legs left behind. quite simple.

Had an HVAC tech quote me over $800 to replace a GE ECM. Decided to hold off and investigate myself. Works like a charm. Thank you to all the people who came before me for writing theses reviews so I knew I was on the right track!

This little thermistor is working great so far. It saved me $1267.00. It bothers me that AC companies tell you that it’s going to cost $1267.00 to replace a blower motor in an air handler when the motor is working fine and the controller module only has a $6 part in it that failed. Anyone with some minor experience in soldering can replace this item. I even considered buying a new AC unit ($6000) due to its age. Hopefully I’ll get a couple more years out of this one. Fingers crossed.
