I saw a video on Wild Creates, a YouTube channel I found and love for my new oil painting hobby, on how to safely reuse thinner, mineral spirit, etc. used for cleaning brushes at color changes when actively painting. (Odorless, safer spirits and the like are NOT cheap).They used a ginormous regular syringe with a hose, but I remembered daddy had something (several) very similar pumps/syringes in the shop and in his tools so I did the same search in automotive and found this.Works like a dream. Good flow, no leaks, and easy to control pressure so you don’t stir up the sediment you waited for 24+ hours to settle at the bottom.I get an extra 50k miles out of my spirits now; I was starting to worry it was going to be just too expensive.

I have a larger version of this and it has always been too large for anything other than transmission/DSG jobs. This pump is great for smaller jobs with hard to reach fill holes. Being smaller means you also have less waste with extra fluid left in the tank and hose.
