These have overall good build qualities and the price makes them a nice deal. I have some cold shoe mounts that are beefier and a nicer overall build quality so comparing them makes these a step or two down.The small diameter thumb screw makes snugging them up a bit more difficult. I don't use these on the Canon 600 or 580 series, for the 430's fine. These were mainly bought to hold the radio transmitters which weight does not pose an issue.

These are very handy since I can now mount flashes to extra tripods that I already have.

Had a flash slide right out after tightening as much as possible which is incredibly frustrating and difficult to begin with. Screws seem to be too short to tighten enough. Just plain terrible product.

Item rethread my softer 1/4 inch adapter. The screw will not hold hot shoe. Best solution, return the junk i was sent.
