I wanted an easy to clean slow feeder bowl, and though I love the challenging depth of the big plastic ones and their designs, I loved the idea of ceramic instead, for a cleaner bowl that could go in the dishwasher and not harbor bacteria easily.This one works beautifully because the ridges/baffles in the design are nice and high, making the valleys deep, and that makes my dog have to work her tongue and snout to get in there and extract the food. She eats much more slowly, was inhaling her kibble before this. Now she eats it almost leisurely, and I love that, love knowing she is chewing a bit more.I also love how well it fits in and is cleaned by my dishwasher. I bought this and another design by this maker, so I can alternate which bowl is out for use and which one is in for cleaning. I would buy this one again. Whether it’s a scoop of dry kibble, or smears of almond or peanut butter as treats, she definitely has to take her time with this. Another advantage is the weight of ceramic; I have her things in a tray to lessen the mess, on a silicone mat, and she can’t tip this bowl over in her eagerness or scoot it all over the floor. I didn’t put on the little feet it came with, since I want to use it in the dishwasher, but the silicone mat works nicely with it.Great product. Just wish they were a bit less pricey, but it definitely meets our needs.

Works great, our new puppy is a food gobbler and this dish has worked wonders in slowing her gulping food down. She has to slow down and work at getting her food from the dish. It is very easy to clean, microwave safe and is quiet heavy and well made. One of our better buys on Amazon.

My lab puppy inhales her food to the point I am scared she will choke or twist her stomach!😱 This bowl slows her down and does it beautifully!! It’s a beautiful, high quality glazed stoneware bowl that is incredibly durable and so easy to clean.

So far it has actually helped my GSD slowdown. When I first got the bowl I thought it was going to be too small. It's just a bit under what I was expecting size wise. But it's fine. It works great. It really is helping him slow down and enjoy his food more ant. I'm seeing a lot less trucker burps coming out of the guy. My only concern is that it's ceramic. I didn't have a lot of choices that don't have enough. Well made stainless steel bowls that do this. I read a lot of reviews. This one had good ones and I can see why it is very heavy and well made. I'm hoping it holds up well because I couldn't imagine if it broke or dropped because the dog wouldn't stop eating. If it did. I bought the white one and once again if it hangs in here and keeps working like it does. I'll continue to buy this brand for any other dogs I get. My girlfriend is going to get one for her dog as well. After seeing mine and finding out what it does. I really was surprised how much it's helped. He really does slow down and take more time to eat. Now. He has IBD and I do everything I can to keep his digestion working the way it should. I highly recommend.

I purchased this dog bowl because my puppy devours her food so fast. I was looking for something functional yet aesthetically pleasing, and then I found this. I really do love the look of this bowl. It is ceramic, so it’s very sturdy. It is also dishwasher safe, so that was a plus in my book. My only complaint is the spacing between the areas in the bowl. It is a little tight, and not even a plastic spoon fits in easily. I feed my dog wet food with kibble mixed in, so I have to spoon it into the bowl, and it can be a bit challenging to prevent spills. However, it does its job and slows her eating down so her food digests well. If you feed your dog kibble only, then I think this bowl will work perfectly.

One of my cats eats like he's been starved for days. I have been feeding him out of a toy that cannot be sanitized and came across this. It definitely slows him down. He's a small male, the size of a dainty female, and this slows him down quite a bit. That's better for his overall health. It's easy to clean and the included rubber stickers prevent it from being pushed all over. The depth of the groove makes it more challenging to eat. He uses his paws to pull his food pieces out (dry food). This should not be used for wet food for cats as it would cause whisker fatigue. I found a stainless steel feed mat on here for that and it works phenomenally. I have pergo floors so this dish does get moved around a little but never tips over. So thankful to find this. There were no chips nor bubbles in the ceramic. Worth the money.

This bowl is heavy enough and has rubber feet to keep it from sliding around. Ceramic is so much better than plastic. He went after the plastic and his teeth gouged it creating sharp edges that hurt his nose. This dish has been perfect!

Super easy to clean — I just throw it in the dishwasher and it comes out sparkling clean. This is a solid piece of ceramic dishware, so it sits tight and doesn't slide around while the pup is eating. It's also pretty deep (so ideal for a big dog), and allows you to stuff the food between the grooves for an extra challenge. Bought it, loved it.

This is exactly what I was looking for. It’s hard to find a ceramic slow feeder that is also modern looking with clean lines. I wasn’t happy with the durability of plastic slowfeeder bowls. It serves its purpose very well for my large hound dog who inhales her kibbles and looks great in the kitchen too!
