I bought 3 different slow feeder bowls at the same time for three different small dogs. This one is the favorite among all the dogs. It's very effective. At the same time, it's shallow enough for an 8 pound chihuahua to navigate without being frustratingly too deep. The circular pattern seems to be less aggravating to the dogs also. I still have one dog who goes after food in the slow feeder bowls like a starved maniac, but I don't think any bowl will fix her level of crazy!

Works well but slides on the floor. Highly recommend ceramic instead

I am confused by other reviewers commenting about it not being silicone. The one I ordered clearly said in the description it was plastic, which it is. I used to use slow feeders for my dogs, but they no longer need them, so I repurposed them to feed the outdoor squirrels! If you feed squirrels, you know they always fight over food and can not seem to eat from the same bowl/plate/feeder, so I ordered this so that I would have 3 separate feeding stations. It works great for squirrels and sunflower seeds!! Since it sits low to the ground, they can not knock it over, and it is fun to watch them picking each individual seed out and eating it. I have them on my patio very close to the door and windows so that I can watch the squirrels up close rather than from a distance on the bird feeders. It would also be fine for small dogs or cats, but not for larger dogs, as the spaces are pretty small and they would probably have trouble getting their snouts in there to get out the food.

All my family dogs, typically labs or retrievers are too fast of eaters. We noticed that my sister’s new pup is no exception. So we looked for a smaller bowl that he could use. This worked pretty well. It really slowed him down, and kept him pretty interested without getting too frustrated. We did put in some green beans and they got a little stuck on the bottom and he couldn’t quite get to, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing as he did finally give up which hopefully will get him to the point where he doesn’t have to eat everything right away! Good size for pups or smaller dogs. Picture added showing our full size one as well. Good material and has nice feet to keep it from sliding too.

I thought this would be silicone rubber and soft but its hard plastic. My one dog hates eating out of his metal bowl because his collar hits it and makes a noise that he doesn't like. This kind of solves that issue but its still makes a clank. I do like that this has lower sides that don't bang his collar as much. Also nice that it has the slow feed maze channels. He has always been an anxious eater and he has really slowed down and now even just leaves some food in and comes back later. Either he realizes he has plenty of time to eat or he gets so defeated with the bowl that he decides he needs a break haha.

The Slow Feeder Dog Bowls, Silicone Dog Bowl works fine for slowing down my dog when she eats her dry kibbles. With a regular bowl, she vacuums up the kibble almost immediately. It's well made and the small black feet help keep the bowl from sliding. They need to be inserted before use, but it's easy to install them.Big caveat, and the reason I gave it four instead of five stars: this bowl is hard plastic, NOT silicone. I was quite disappointed when I opened the package, as the listing says it's silicone (in the large heading) and I didn't look at the "product information" below, which clearly states plastic, not silicone. I would not have ordered it if I had noticed it was actually plastic.Since it's rigid and the dish is pretty deep, I was concerned that my dog wouldn't be able to get to the food. But she managed to get all the kibble out, so likely no issue there. It washes out easily, though if you use it for wet food, you might need to use a brush to clean out any dried-on residue. So, a nice, totally acceptable plastic dish. Just not what I thought I was ordering, given their description.

This cute puzzle slow feeder is the perfect answer to slow fast eaters down and help them get smaller portions in each bite. It helps them be able to chew more on each bite breaking down the food for digestion better. This bowl fits the bill. It’s good for small and medium size dog portions. The color is just how it appears on the description picture. It is silicone, so durable. For the price this is a good buy for a durable slow feeder. It has nice anti slip pads so it doesn’t easy move around. That being said I don’t know that I would trust this in a microwave to heat food but it does say it’s dishwasher safe. I don’t know that it is BPA free either nothing indicates that on the package. That is something important to me for my animal as well as family. Let’s face it our pets are our family, so I don’t want to give them something I wouldn’t use myself.

Bought this for my dog who likes to inhale her food. This bowl works perfectly. Increased the time it takes her to eat by 20 times!!!
