My boom mounted Rode PodMic was picking up vibration from my hard drives and computer, ruining recordings. There isn't a dedicated shock mount for the PodMic but this one looked like it would work, so I pressed the magic Amazon button and it came to me. And, yeah, it works great. The cradle screws into the mount point on the shock mount and the mic is suspended from strong rubber bands, nixing most stray vibrations from my desk. The only small problem is the 1/2" bolt on the shock mount is a little too long, allowing the bolt and mic to spin easily even fully tightened. I added a rubber gasket and it became nicely dampened, but can still rotate if needed. Perfect! This shock mount looks good, matches the black mic and appears well made (all metal save for the bands). I'm pleased!

Simple, effective solution. It does what it's supposed to do. Great price!

This shock mount certainly works for its main purpose of removing vibration sound from your set up. But it does not keep the mic in place well and shifts more than I’d like.

Utterly useless, my sm7b is tilted and keeps to rotating

Like many things out there, shock mounts are not all equal. I mounted this unit to a Gator 4000 boom and a Shure SM7B and was pleasantly surprised by the construction and the feel.As you would expect, this mount is adjustable and its design does not impede the rotation of the mic for all of the angles that most people would care about, leaving only 90 degree restricted motion caused by the XLR cable touching the mount as the mic faces towards the boom (again, not a dealbreaker for most). In terms of anti-shock and anti-vibration performance, this mount performs well, cutting down on inadvertent transfer.I’m not a paid reviewer, I paid for this product and am providing an honest review to try and help others like you make an informed purchasing decision. It “helps†take out the bumps and all, but could likely work even better for little extra. I also bump my head on it - it’s kind of big - and that noise goes into the recording.

I used it for about 1wk, but changed my setup so I no longer use it. I mounted the mic upside down from it's intended way if using it, because it covered too much of my face (got in the way) during video conferences. If you intend on using it without filming yourself, this is pretty darn good to absorb any sounds from bumping your desk.

The listing page for this product claims that it’s for the above mic… specifically. But the box clearly has about 4 stickers piled on one another. When pulling those stickers off, somehow this same shock mount was specifically designed for other brands of mic’s as well… truly amazing. It also doesn’t screw in all the way to the mic so it feels so cheap and wobbly. I’m kinda… no entirely disappointed in this product.
