I got this for my dji RS 3 Mini and this thing makes using it so much more comfortable and opens up easier ways to get awesome shots. Adds reach, stability and functionality to your gimbal. It is very sturdy and made well while also being light.Wonderful addition to any kit.

This thing has been great for the price. Throw it in my bag, and when I need an extended shot or Birds Eye views shot, it threads in super easily.Carbon fiber and extremely lightweight, and sturdy. I dropped it on my foot yesterday and it only hurt the foot

This grip extension is amazing if you’re needing a bit more reach on your gimbal. I use it exclusively for concert filming and it gives you just enough extra reach to still feel connected to the crowd while filming the artists on stage.

I don’t use this very often, but this adds some extra reach to your DJI Ronin. Because it is made of carbon fiber, it’s insanely light which makes this easier to hold. Make no mistake though, adding this much reach to your gimbal puts the weight further away from your hands and is harder to hold because of it. But for the times when you need to get some extra reach, this is invaluable.

As is typically the case with Smallrig, their 15” Gimbal Extension Pole is both beautifully built and more than physically substantial enough for the job that it’s built to do while also providing a secure attachment for the valuable equipment it is meant to support. You don’t want to trust $5k – $10K of gimbal and video rig to just anything.The foam padding on the lower end of the extension has the firm feel of a tennis racket and its sponginess provides a secure grip. The milling on the carbon fiber pole is exquisite, perfectly highlighting the well-known aesthetic of the graphite fibers.At the other end of the pole is the hardware that attaches to the gimbal. It, again, is superbly milled from aluminum, then anodized matt black with a brushed ring where it attaches to the pole. The knurled nut used to tighten the 1/4" bolt to the gimbal is large, providing plenty of surface area for enforcing a secure bond. If you need more leverage, the provided allen key can be fitted into the holes of the knurled nut as a breaker bar.1/4" threads are included at the foam handle end of the extension, used for attaching an accessory of choice, for example a tripod; in the case of the RS4 Pro, it’s supplied with one. Attached to the end of the extension, it provides an additional 6” of prolongation. Add to that the 6” of the RS4’s battery handle, and a camera or video rig is sitting at the end of 27” plus of usable length.Given the materials used, the quality of the workmanship and the reliability of Smallrig the company, that I know from experience stands behind their products, I consider this a value purchase. An extension pole added to a gimbal provides a great deal of utility, not the least of which is allowing for interesting shot perspectives that would not otherwise be possible. It’s a small investment for a potentially dramatic increase in the quality of the imagery.The extension pole is provided with an allen key, user manual and adapter plate for an RS3 mini gimbal.

This is a nice and solid extension handle for the Ronin rs4 Pro. Grip and weight is perfect, it’s easy to mount and fits very securely. I tried adding the tripod on the bottom also and everything stands up well. Great for adding a little more range of motion and saving your back on low angle shots.The only thing is it didn’t come with an Allen wrench like it said on the box but considering every Smallrig accessory does already and I have a bin of extras I’m not worried about it.

What I like about this extension arm:1) Very well built.2) Lightweight. I think it is a good choice to use carbon fiber to build this extension arm.3) It works on my DJI RS 3 perfectly4) It comes with an RS3 mini adapter plate in case you need it.

This thing clamps to my RS4 pro without a hitch. Use the included hex key to engage the holes in the knurled 1/4" adapter and get it nice and tight. The tripod legs screw into the bottom just as you'd expect for another 15" of handle length.It's nice and light, and quite well tooled. No complaints. Five Stars!!

The SMALLRIG Gimbal Extension Pole arrived professionally packed in a printed cardboard box bearing the Smallrig branding.In the box you get the extension pole and an additional 1/4" threaded adaptor to raise the mounting point out of the recess in the pole.The pole is designed for the DJI RS range of gimbals and is made from carbon fibre and adds an additional 15" in length to your gimbal setup.Obviously, using threaded adaptors the pole can be used with almost any gimbal and you are not restricted to DJI.Only 270g in weight the pole has a carrying capacity of 6kgs.Nice addition to the content creators equipment.
