Perfect for what I needed to expand the attachments on my GoPro. Some people knocked the plastic construction but I don't see an issue. It's a great value and fits well. Allows easy access to ports and has the holder for the stupid mic attachment that GoPro requires for an external mic.

I love this case, just so you know I am human lol. But the build quality on this thing is amazing for the price, tbh they should raise it. But yeah in combination with the GoPro mic adapter I thing it’s so sleek and compact like it just all makes sense. Highly recommend!

BUYER BEWARE! The Small Rig video clearly shows the removal of the OEM Gopro side (battery) door and the replacement using the Small Rig side door with a hole over the USB slot. This is so one can plug in the mic adapter without leaving the OEM door open. BUT!!! Once you install the SR door, it is impossible to get open without destroying it. I had to take a small screwdriver and exert fairly good force to get it off and it thus broke in the process.My question to Small Rig: Do you really intend that the user of this product would never need to replace the battery or remove or replace the SD card???? This has to be right up there in the top tier of stupid and irresponsible product design flaws. And to produce a video clearly showing the replacing of the OEM side door with the ill-designed Small Rig door. Someone needs to be taken out behind the woodshed!

This one simply checks off all the boxes for what I need for a vlogging cage for the hero 9. I don't know what other users are complaining about. I'm SUPER happy with this SmallRig cage. Yeah, so what its made of plastic. It's super LIGHTWEIGHT and it holds my max mod lens, gopro mic adapter, and rode wireless go. what more can I ask? E'nuff said! I can start vlogging now.

Great little after market design which is a perfect fit for purpose. Some reviews have talked about being disappointed with the plastic mount, but I am OK with that. If you are video blogging with an external mic attached, you typically are not doing anything rough enough to need the strength of metal mount/fingers. If you are really worried about the strength of the mount and you are doing some filming that needs a tougher mount, just don't use this plastic mount. The camera's inbuilt metal folding mount fingers will do the job and your cables will just be a little messy joining mic to camera. The camera itself fits like a glove, the replacement side plate for the camera (to give you access to the USBC port) works perfectly. I am happy with my purchase and looking forward to getting some vlogging done with this little mini rig set up.
