Overall the rig is great. Very sturdy and holds a big phone. I have the ultra 24. I upgraded to the larger S20 microphone for ASMR videos and wow. What an amazing sound. So crisp It picks up everything. Great customer service!!!

I am a news journalist for an online site and was looking for something that was lighter to carry than my HUGE shoulder cam and tremendously heavy tripod. Once I upgraded my iPhone to the 13 Pro Max and discovered that it took wayyyyy better pics and video than my older shoulder cam, I needed something light, steady and portable to use with my iPhone. This rig solved everything. I'm out the door with only one thing in my hand, strap it into my SUV with a seatbelt and off I go. The set-up on site is as easy as just finding a spot to place my tripod (among the many other stations there with their bulky, heavy, outdated equipment). I also purchased an external battery pack in case I run out of charge on the iPhone (which attaches to the back of the rig), along with a set of wireless lavalier mics which pair perfectly with the audio cord and adapter included in the rig package. I attached the lavalier receiver to the extra mounting shoe that comes with this package that I installed on one of the hand grips. I'm now more mobile, streamlined and have the most up-to-date equipment. I highly recommend this rig set-up.

This is a solid cage for your phone and I like the design overall. However, here a few things you should know:1. The included lightning to 3.5mm adapter did not work. I tried various troubleshooting solutions- swapping out the cable, making sure the additional lighting charger port was plugged into power, etc. etc.. nothing worked. Then, based on some YouTube research, I tried an Apple-branded lightning to 3.5mm adapter that I already had and, voila. It works. So the included dongle isn't mifi certified and is essentially junk. More plastic for the ocean. Here's the dongle I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LXJFMGF/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=12. Several of the negative comments here mention that the included Allen wrenches are too small. NOT TRUE. The larger wrenches you need are stored INSIDE THE HANDLE GRIPS at the bottom and secured with magnets. This is a brilliant design from Smallrig. Quite the opposite of a negative feature.

Bought this for my hubby who loves making home movies on his iPhone. He especially loves the ability to track shots across a room without having his hand wobble or get his thumb on the screen. Really easy to set up and use.

Cage is extremely sturdy and well constructed, all accessories clearly marked. Needs 2 sizes of Allen key to attach but only came with one size, too small for some of the screws but not a problem as the missing size was a standard size and easily substituted so nonissue. Microphone and light are above average and great value for price. Base is also extremely sturdy and much better than expected for the cost. No issue with mic recognition connection on iPhone 13pro.

I am very impressed by the quality of the materials. It comes with a storage case. It does take a little time to put it all together but it was not difficult. The assembly instructions were easy to follow. This kit comes with led light and mic so it is a great complete little vlogging kit.
