I took a chance on this tool and am glad I did. This is a "universal" cooling system tester that probably works on most automobiles and light trucks. It comes with three adapters to fit a range of filler neck sizes and relies on screwing the adapter together tightly to expand the rubber plug in the filler neck and establish a good seal. The largest size worked for my Chevrolet Corvette after I figured out how to get it tight enough to stay in place. It slipped out the first couple of times I tried it. After I made sure that the rubber adapter and the filler neck of my overflow bottle were completely dry it worked. I also used a rag to firmly twist the adapter to maximum tightness while maintaining vertical pressure to keep it seated in the coolant filler bottle. That worked and the adapter held 15 psi for 40 minutes, good enough to confirm my cooling system is sealed. It comes with nicely printed instructions and a parts list which describes two o-rings and a washer but I did not see them in the kit. The tester worked fine as shipped.I was very impressed with the quality of this test kit. The fittings are well made and sturdy, the gauge and pump feel solid, and the pressure line looks to be very durable. The blow molded case is nicely designed and holds everything securely.I'm glad I purchased this tester.

This tool works as advertised but only after a slight modification! We were working on a Agco-Allis GT55 tractor and needed to pressure test our new hoses for leaks. Obviously, I was eager to try this new tool out. After looking at the adapters, it was quite clear which adapter to choose to seal the radiator with. Next, I grab the medium sized adapter and try to fit it into the opening. To my amazement it wouldn't fit, the threaded-brass part was slightly to big!Now I'm getting mad, so I remove the rubber from the threaded part and try only the rubber to see if it fits into the radiator opening. Sure enough it easily slides right in. Being a machinist, I immediately chuck the threaded-brass part into my lathe and turn it down just enough to where it will fit into the radiator opening. After reassembling the rubber and threaded-brass part back together, it easily slides into the radiator and I begin screwing the two together to create the seal. Next, I attached the pump and applied 15psig to the system and found a small leak due to a hose clamp not being tight enough. After sorting that problem, we re-pressurized the system and it held at 15psig for 10+ minutes.Satisfied that the system was now leak free, we finished reassembling the tractor and put it back to work with no overheating or coolant leaking issues!Problem solved and onto the next repair!Overall, I'm pleased with the tool, price, and performance but unless you own a lathe or your creative with a mill,, I think its a little far fetched to call this tool "Universal" right out of the box hence the reason I'm only giving it 4 out of 5 stars. If you have to machine something to make it work for you then the tool needs to be revised slightly.

After consistently having to top off the coolant in my daily driver with no obvious leaks it was time to get a kit of my own since even I was getting tired of taking the ride to a friends house to use his. Clearly there are several options available (some lower some higher priced) but the majority of them have a selection of fittings for different applications so the fact that this kit is universal is what sold me. Like most people these days before making the purchase I searched YouTube for more info and was happy to find positive comments from several users. The kit has worked perfectly for me and all the components appear to be very well made. The only downside is the inability to test the radiator cap (although it doesn't make that claim in the description) so keep that in mind before purchasing...

I ordered this coolant pressure tester because I was helping a friend find a coolant leak on his 2015 f250. Installed it to the primary system easily and it fit good. I like how it's Universal just pop it in and twist it till its tight. It pumped up quick and the accuracy on the pressure guage was spot on. The tool its self did not leak but I did find the leak on the thermostat crossover gasket. Pretty awesome. It's well worth the money and it's a good tool to have in the tool box.

It's does not fit a 2011 VW CC. Any adapter I tried and no matter how tight I got the adapter it shoots off the overflow bottle and slams into the hood (once over 10psi). I was able to make it work with some inginuity. Does work great on our 2 other cars.

I've only used this unit once so far but I am happy with it as far as first impressions go. All the components feel to be of good quality. The adapter I used fit securely in the radiator neck and the pump develops pressure quickly. I do a fair bit of automotive cooling system work so it shouldn't take me long to use all of the included adapters and get a better picture of the performance and durability of the product. So far 5 stars, I will revisit this review as I use it more at work.

Ordered this for a specific job I have to do at work but gauge is broken. Still appears to work but I can’t return it as it would delay the repairs on the machine. Adaptors were scattered around the case, I assume this is what broke the gauge front piece.
