Q: How to ensure the stability and safety of the door?
2 * Door Stoppers: Two door stoppers slide along the rail and tighten down at any point to stop your door exactly where you want, and they’re cushioned by rubber caps for a quiet close.
1 * Floor Guide: A T-shaped floor guide is supplied (with anchors) to prevent the door from swinging out or up against the baseboard.
Q: When do you need a headboard?
a. If the studs don't line up with the pre-drilled holes in the rail.
b. If there is a doorway trim.
And "door depth'' plus "trim depth'' is greater than 2''
Q: How much space do I need above the doorway?
A: You will need a minimum of 6" from the top of your door to the ceiling (or crown molding, if any) for this kit to fit correctly.
Q: How thick of a door will this kit work with?
A: There are solutions for any thickness of door! The bolts included for attaching the hangers to the door support a thickness range of 1 3/8" to 1 3/4", but this can be easily navigated by countersinking the bolt head into the back side of the door, or by picking up 4 longer bolts from your local hardware store. The other thing affected by a thicker door is the spacing needed between the door and wall (or baseboard/doorway trim). Plug in your door depth and trim depth below:

If your answer is 0 or greater, then you're fine. If your answer was negative, then that number is the extra spacing you need. This extra spacing is accomplished by bolting a header board to the studs, and then the rail to this header board.

The barn doors we bought elsewhere did not come with the overlapping hardware. These were an easy fix and easy to install. The doors slide nicely and the hardware is sturdy.

built my own barn doors for a couple of closet projects - these are solid, roll smoothly, and a relatively easy assemble and install. Grab a couple of pallets and this and make your own new door for a closet or elsewhere in your house.

Instructions were somewhat difficult to follow, even for an experienced installer.Quality it good but if you get this as a kit, you may want to clamp the door hardware on the door first. We followed the instructions and the door didn't quite touch the edges of the opening and didn't line up in the middle, so the pattern was off as well. We had to move the hardware on one door so there was no opening, this having to drill a second time and now need to fill the first holes.Also, you may need to install the bumpers past the end mounting bolts, put those on first before mounting the the wall.The door rolls smoothly on the tracks and looks like it is very durable. Time will tell.

This hardware is well made and straightforwards to install. I had a false alarm, thought I was missing a small part and contacted the company. Though I ended up cancelling my request, they responded very quickly and were ready and willing to send the missing piece. Highly recommend!!

We were getting our floors done over in our cape when they discovered joist issues. We wanted to originally get a dormer but couldn't afford it. Well, when they opened up the floors we asked them to open the front area across the length of the wall for storage. We saw it was like an additional 3 feet by 16! I wanted some type of open, usable, finished space, and asked if they could do barn doors. And this is the finished product! I love it and this hardware for bypass barn doors worked perfectly. Delivery was fast and price was comparable. They help me achieve my actual dream. This extra storage space, with the bypass barn doors, helps me put items away with ease of access and reduced clutter. Glad I purchased this product.

I don’t know about the hardware….. I bought these for closet doors, the size I needed and I was left with a very small space to get into the closet. The design is lacking and the instructions were worse. My builder could not even figure it out to make it work. Return time is up and I’m out $$$$$
