I bought this ribbon to fit a vintage Smith Corona typewriter from the 1960s. The ribbon absolutely worked perfectly. I bought the black/red ribbon and was amazed at how well it typed the colors. Easy to install. Great price! Size fit was perfect!

Wanted to sell my old typewriter and needed to replace the ribbon. Installed like a dream and typed crisp, clear letters. Looked great in the ad. Sold the typewriter a week later!

So sad to say this ribbon was completely dried out — left only a very faint imprint if any at all. It fit just fine and was easy to install, just didn’t work. :(

Works very good and leaves a good crisp dark imprint in the paper. Now if your ribbon isn't working well make sure it is in the typewriter correctly. But keep in mind if you can't see the text too well the typewriter might be having some trouble hammering into the paper. I use this same ribbon for all my typewriters. Smith-Corona, Olympia, and even a Sears typewriter. I fully recommend this product and I hope you enjoy.

It did not have the reversing eyelets and it was a little dry.

Per chi vuole usare la macchina da scrivere classica. Funziona ma bi sogna ricordarsi di controllare la compatibilità per evitare sorprese.

I'm very new to typewriters, and I bought one a little while ago to do some literal creative writing in a class. I've typed probably 6 or 7 pages in the span of a few days already, and compared to the old nearly dead ink ribbon that was on it before it's very much so a step up. That being said, I'm noticing that this ink ribbon is much shorter than the other one I was using. I have to reverse this one every page and a half or so, rather than the other one which could go for much longer before it started to give out. I'm not sure if this would effect the longevity of the ribbon itself before it started to go? That's really my only concern. Other than that, it's good dark ink with a bright but apparent red. Can't complain about it's function ðŸ‘
