I've been playing percussion since I was a child, played in college and in dci, and these are the best pads on the market. Feels like a real marching snare, the volume is superb, functions like a champ, decently weighted and worth every penny!

The Hanflag HUN Drum pad is the second generation to the U12 double deck pad. Same size but with one deck allowing it to be more portable and lighter weight without losing any sound quality. The adjustable snare insert gives the same range of tight snare sound to damp pad sound as the previous model. Great quality for the price and aesthetically pleasing. When recording audio it does carry a specific tone slightly different than a snare drum but the untrained ear probably wouldn’t catch it. The sound quality and feel is up to par. Great product for learning how to play snare drum and even better for advanced drummers.

I love the snare response that you get from the pad with that being said I wish the snare sound was a little higher pitch and even when you set the snares to the tighter side it sounds a little too low for my liking but outside of that I love the pad itself it’s very durable and has a good weight to it and it feels good it’s a harder surface pad more for marching percussion style playing.
