A very worthwhile investment. Great for backstage warm-ups. Excellent rebound. Consider moistening drum tip with water before putting them on. Work very well playing drums, generally softening the overall. Cymbals also sound good, and responsive with these rubber tips.

I saw Steve Gadd use these on a recent video and decided to try them. They REALLY are good for almost-silent practice. They also feel better than nylon/wood tips when used on e-pads (much more and realistic bounce). I can practice rudimental accuracy on the coffee table and not at all disturb my wife being on her computer. My old rubber pad has an almost new bounce, so I can no longer blame my crappy Moeller technique on the pad(:-p) BTW The price is great value for the money!

These fit perfectly on all of my drum sticks, from 7a, 5a, 5b with all shapes of tips. They definitely make it easy to practice anywhere at any time. They have the perfect amount of rebound off a wooden table top and feels similar to playing a snare or medium tom.Of course, being rubber, they do make the stick tip heavy but that's to be expected.I call these a buy.

I’ve been playing for about a year, starting at age 35. I got my first acoustic kit (Mapex Armory) and it was LOUD. I tried several option, Montel’s, tape, tuning, new batter heads, smaller/lighter sticks, and technique.Unfortunately, these tips make your cymbals sound like gongs. Hitting the drums is worse with less stick nuance because your stick tip is gripping the surface making rolls more difficult. I used them once and realized it wasn’t going to work in my situation, where I don’t NEED to be quiet. Given that it changes so much the tonal quality of the kit, I’d say the practical musical uses are limited here.If you absolutely must be quiet while practicing, I’d try the bamboo sticks, or a lighter weight nylon tip stick like the Vic Firth 7As and learn to dance lightly. Throw a t shirt over your drum and it would feel better than these, IMO.

I use for practice when quiet and no damage to surface is a must. Nice, not unrealistic, bounce. Seem to hold up well. I even use on my cajon occasionally. Give a bit sharper tone than hands or yarn mallet. Fun with one nylon brush and one stick with Silent Tip. Unless I lose them it appears these 4 pair will last many, many years except if used on rough concrete or such. I initially didn't want to pay this much (only really wanted one pair), but now I am glad I made this purchase. I may be down to 3 pair already as I loaned a pair to a friend a few weeks back to try out and have yet to see them since. Maybe another satisfied drummer ; )

I bought this product in an attempt to save money on drum dampener heads. For the price the product seemed like a great idea. Once I received it though, it failed to live up the my expectations. The cymbals do receive a decent amount of volume reduction from this product, but it absolutely fails when it comes to snares and toms. When I played my snare side by side with one stick that had the cover on it and one without, I found there was no noticable difference in volume between them.Save yourself some time and money, go buy a set of drum dampener heads. This is one of those times that being cheap ends up costing more.

Well made n fits well on the drum sticks (5A). It doesn't reduce noise, but protect drum mesh n cymbals from breaking. Also protect drum sticks breaking from hitting the frame or fitments. Clearly useful for edrum n definitely recommended.

The more I get into drumming the more I understand, coming in with a new view. I play on mesh heads and I heard that some don’t like them, too much bounce, hard to control your stick.Well I moved to mesh heads as the rubber pads (DTX) were aggravating my hand problems (from work).I fitted these tips in a attempt to soften the impact, but then it pans out that rubber toms are not for me.The new mesh heads were GREAT, and I use the bounce to play, it takes all the work out, BUT, I left the tips on to protect the mesh heads as the tone is no different on e drums with these tips. When I changed sticks I realised that mesh heads are slippery, that’s why they are hard to drum on, the sticks don’t rebound in a constant way as they slide. These tip give back the same feel from the perspective of control on mesh head drums, I thoroughly recommend them. Why these and not other tips? The ribbed construction gives more grip as they give, are not hard a rubber compound like some others......I also use headhunter grooved sticks, so the whole thing is just an easy controlled bounce with a very light grip, yeah takes all the work out...Update, these tips ONLY work well on large tip sticks, if you have small tips then there is space between the rubber and wood and they will split. There are others here on Amazon that are smaller, and because they are all relatively cheap I’d recommend trying all of them to see what tip suits what stick.
