These come out of the box charged and one touch turns it on and back off. I play mandolin and guitar and had two ten-year old tuners that had quit being reliable. I could change the battery and they still flickered on and off. These charge by USB and my couch has a USB port on the controls for the power recliner so it will be easy to bring them back up to full charge. These are great little tuners.

A friend gave me an older, all-instrument Snark SN-1. It has calibration with up and down buttons, a tap-beat setting, and a switch to choose between sensing via vibrations or mic. This newer model has calibration and a tap-beat metronome, but no sensor choice or other features. In fairness, the one I bought says it's for guitar and bass, not all instruments. Regardless, it works okay, stays on well, and moves easily. Treat it well: the curved stem between the clamp and the tuner twists. Move it with your hand. The tuner head turns and twists so it's easy to see at any angle. Just do not force the stem or tuner. It's like any other plastic assembly. I've never broken one, but many reviewers have.Thanks to its bright colors and round screen, the Snark's face is easy to read. It's not a $50, high-precision tuner, but it works very well for me. Next time, however, I'll buy an all-instrument version to get the other features.

It came blue and rechargeable as expected. Was fully charged so tried it right away on a guitar that already the intonation properly set by a very finicky person. The Snark agreed completely that the intonation was dead-nuts on. I’ve used a Snark in the past to set intonation on both 6- and 12-string acoustics and electrics and have always been pleased. This one will do just the same. Highly recommended.

Snark is the only one I have had 8 guitars, bought one for each.. primary ones broke apart, replaced ones wrok ed well. still give them out as gifts

I always get Snarks for my guitar students. They are reliable and easy to use. They are durable and easy to attach to the instrument. I like the easy-to-read dial that shows exactly where the proper pitch is. Even my younger students (and their parents) can use them easily and accurately. Great product!

Used the first version SNARK for years, when it did give up it was due to the plastic in the ball socket giving out and breaking so it was not possible to attach to the clip. This version has a much reinforced socket so I am confident I will get many more years of use out of this one. Works great, obviously. Great buy!

Eine klare Kaufempfehlung, für Leute die ihre Gitarre stimmen müssen. Nicht nur für Anfänger geeignet, sondern auch für Fortgeschrittene Gitarristen ein notwendiges Equipment.

Excelente afinador, el material es bueno pero da la impresión de que con un buen golpe se puede romper, fuera de eso cumple su función, también tiene metrónomo y puedes configurarlo para afinar tu instrumento en diferentes frecuencias.
