Yea, the so called pro's don't like this device because its to simple. The fellow with all the certifications that left a bad review clearly didnt know how to set it up because it was so simple. I have been on over 50 climbs with the device and it works flawless. The only thing you will regret is that you didn't get more than one. I found it to work the best with at least 10mm climbing rope to get a good bite. It works amazingly well and I feel if it cost 50 bucks the people with certifications would like it a lot better. They think just because it cost less than a good prusik it can't be any good. Thats a false assumption. Get it you want regret it.

I was looking for an ascender to use with saddle hunting and settled on SOB Climbing Fall Protection Belay Device Ascender.I have used it a couple time with a couple different diameter ropes and it worked very well. The one thing I would say to new users, is that it take a bit of practice to learn how to use SOB Climbing Fall Protection Belay Device Ascender smoothly.

I’m using it for my saddle bridge. Works really well! It took me a few minutes to figure out how to use it but I got it. There is a YouTube video that explains it.

Easy to use, keeps me on the rope when taking a fall, I’m 6’1†and about 200lbs and works perfect along with another ascender for Top Rope Soloing.

It's a clone. It works exactly as the original Lift, but it's cheap. What else is there to say?
