Little unit seems to work fine; not too hot, sort of easy to connect wires in labeled position, cheap. Worked great for my above average 2K Watthours set up I built for under $500. I run my desktop computer off this free solar DC all day (and night in the summer), so it's not just used for emergencies, meaning that whole thing should pay for itself in under a year. One reviewer said he couldn't get the setting onto b3 for his liFP. The trick there is you have to hold down the main button again once you get to the correct setting until it blinks, then you can set it to the third position with the + key. They tell you that in the pamphlet, but it's pretty thick into the Chinese cryptic. This is a new review, so if it fails rapidly, I'll update then.

I'll be generous and give it 4 stars instead of 3 since I am not sure if not getting desired results is a lack of understanding on my part or the device itself. I will try again after the weather improves (winter here now).

Prefer one and wire connections were bad. Returned it and got a free second one but it only worked for a month

Bought another of these for Lithium batteries and things charged fine but then I got a seperate Solar battery charger with a really cheap charge controller like this but it had a LFP SETTING and a Lithium setting and I got better and higher charges faster to my LFP battery. Max charge with this controller set to LFP is 14.4 while at the Lithium setting it is 13.7.Bottom line, if you have an LFP Battery you want a charge with a physical LFP setting to get the most from your battery.Lesson learned, there is a big difference between charge for a Lithium (Cylindrical battery) and an LFP!

Kinda works. Bought because my Windnation controller died . It said it would work with lithium iron phosphate . I couldn't get it to the lir setting . But for 11 bucks ! I'll keep it to use on some solar panels I'm getting with a gel battery.

Review of Solar Charge Controller 100AI recently purchased the Solar Charge Controller 100A, and I have mixed feelings about it. Priced competitively, it serves its purpose as a solar panel regulator for various battery types, including Lithium, Lithium Iron Phosphate, and Lead-Acid. The PWM technology used in this controller is functional, allowing for charging at both 12V and 24V, which is a plus for versatility in solar setups. However, my primary concern lies in its claimed capacity. While it is marketed as a 100A controller, I am skeptical about whether it can truly handle that level of current. Many products in this space seem to be somewhat overrated, and this one feels like it falls into that category. For instance, the PV connector does not appear to accommodate wiring that could realistically manage 100A; it maxes out at about 12 AWG, maybe 10 AWG. This limitation raises questions about its overall reliability and efficiency, especially under heavy load conditions. On a positive note, the device works adequately for charging batteries as specified. It doesn't have any bells and whistles, but it performs the essential function of regulating solar input and maintaining battery health. The inclusion of a USB busbar is a nice touch for added convenience, although it's more of a minor feature than a selling point. In summary, if you are looking for a budget-friendly solar charge controller and are not relying on the full 100A capacity, this model might be acceptable for your needs. Just be aware of its limitations in wire sizing and current handling. For those with higher energy demands or who want to ensure optimal performance, it may be worth investing in a more robust and reputable controller.

I installed this in my new rv on a 200 watt solar bank. Its definitely working and is easy to use. The quality is typical import discount store type stuff. The unit itself arrived a little dirty in the package from the factory, but wiped clean. The simple fact is that it does work and is very inexpensive for what it does. I will definitely consider another like it simply due to price and familiarity.
