This thing does the job! I was trying to keep the dogs from digging under the fence and this fencer solved that problem. Put in a Zareba first and had dismal results. Very poor product. This came with an ac charger so I could charge the battery before install, took about 2 hours. Took it out, hooked the wires up to it without changing anything and it works great. Buy one now because I've seen it before. Something works well and the big companies buy them out so they don't have the competition.

I bought this for a vineyard that was convenient to house power because the deers kept destroying it. It works great and the deer steer clear of it now

I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews listed for this item and can’t help but think folks didn’t understand how to setup an electric fence, especially the need for proper grounding.They could have for sure included more detailed instructions for people who have never set up an electric fence before. It could also be more obvious that it doesn’t come with the leads before someone buys one.That being said it’s a great charger, definitely packs a punch on a well grounded fence, I felt obligated to try it and zowee!Has a 3 year warranty so if for some reason it starts to have some of the issues others have described I will cash in on that. For now makes a great charger for deer/pest deterrent for a garden from my experience, but I have setup quite a few fences in my time so that may be a factor.

Works to repel squirrels and raccoons from my yard. Stays charged with just sunlight. Logo sticker faded and fell off. I wish there was a way to tell if there is a short or other fault other than zapping yourself.

Worked great till winter. The button cover split. It was easy to install and was able to keep plugged in for winter. Button light started flickering this spring and it quit working altogether. Bought different fence charger for this year. Worked great while it worked.

I purchased the chargers on 2/12/22. They have been used for the equestrian season each year. I attempted to turn on for this season and nothing happened. I removed the chargers from the mounting poles and heard something sloshing around inside. Once I opened the chargers , they were full of water.There should be a design change to incorporate a drain in the bottom of the charger. I called the company and left a message as well as an e-mail and no response. So much for the 3 year warranty and customer support

I had trouble with critters including a big black bear trying to get to my chickens and feed. I put up the fence and used this solar operated fence charger. Haven’t had any problems since.
