Super convenient, no need to add anything, just attach the incoming and out going cables and you are done. Only four stars because I wanted to mount it to a concrete wall and had to disassemble it to do that. Five stars if the box had mounting ears.

The switch seemed fine for a solar cut off, until I did further research and saw that different brands included surge protection. Since a combined surge protection seems more advisable. I think paying an extra $20 for that design would be preferred. If you only need the ability to turn off the power and not use it as a breaker or surge protection, this appears sturdy to do the job, but I have not tested it. It does already have MC four connectors, which is really nice to make it plug-and-play. With no extra wiring

On the bench today, I’ve got the Wayona Solar Panel Disconnect Switch DC 500V Solar Circuit Breaker Box 32Amp IP65 Waterproof Miniature Circuit Breaker Solar PV Disconnect Switch Box Outdoor.I’ll start off by saying that I have no way to test whether the circuit breaker will handle the current or voltage that it claims to. I’ll just be using this as a disconnect and not relying on it as a circuit breaker. The box is not a bad box. It has gaskets in between the 2 halves and around where the clear cover latches closed. The cable glands also include a rubber piece that fits tightly around the included cables. The screws that hold the box together are very soft tho so make sure if you have to open it up, you use a P2 that fits tightly in it. A single slip of the P1 driver that I initially used nearly stripped the head of it completely out.On that note, I’d suggest everyone open theirs up and check things out before you put it into use. My sample didn’t have the male/female mistake that a couple of the other reviews mentioned. They do seem to have some QC issues in the assembly of these. One of the cable glands weren’t even close to being finger tight and the other one had a ways to go to be properly tight. As shown in one of my pictures, there were some loose strands that they didn’t get in the ferrule or the breaker terminal and they were just sticking out. Another of the wires weren’t fully seated into the terminal either. The wire does seem to be decent double jackets solar cable, at least. Mine was actually tinned copper and not cca or anything like that.At a price under $20 then I’d consider this if I need another one in the future. At over $20 then I’d probably look around.
