I originally bought a TCL sound bar that didn't work out so well, I decided to spend a bit more and get this one. My dad has a Sony sound bar and sub for a few years now . It's the model below this one and he's never had a problem with it. This sound bar does offer Bluetooth but I decided to run an optical connection instead. I have it connected to my BenQ Ht 3550 projector that doesn't have the ARC HDMI. The optical input works just fine. I love the remote because it allows you to play with different sounds and it also allows you to adjust the bass which is very nice also. I think it sounds great and would fit a rather large living room as mine does. I can't turn it up all the way . It does get very loud and the bass thumps . I do have a Klipsch 9.1 but it's in storage and this is much easier to set up and take down when I'm ready to change.

Blown away by the performance. Was looking at a cheaper option and went to Best Buy and compared with others LG/Samsung. Nothing else compared in the price range. I have a large family room and it fills the room with quality sound when watching movies and tv with good audio. 100% recommend this product for what it is A sound bar. Now it’s NOT A component system 5.1- 6.1 which I’ve had in my last 2 houses professionally installed. Set up and blue tooth were easy.

I looked at a lesser version of this at Costco that wasn't much cheaper and didn't get very good reviews. This item was a little more expensive, but had great reviews. When there was an open box unit available at Amazon Warehouse for less than half of the regular price, I ordered it immediately. Set up was pretty easy, though the open box unit was missing the optical cable that was supposed to be included. Once it was all hooked up and the setting changed within the TV, it worked just fine. It turns on/off when the TV does, and the regular volume controls for the TV remote control it as well. After the initial setup, I haven't needed the included remote control. The sound is certainly an upgrade from the regular TV speakers, and the bass can thump pretty hard when asked to. Does it sound as good as a higher end unit, of course not, but it's fine for daily use in our family room. Two little gripes. The volume is slow to respond...it takes holding the volume button down for a bit to get it have any noticeable change in the volume. Also, there is some weird "feature" that if the volume is pressed too many times in a row quickly, the volume will go up to max or min (depending) all on its own...which can be deafening. I should probably read the manual about this... Anyway, for the warehouse price, I'm thrilled with this purchase.

I love this sound bar. I have it hooked up to a Sony tv using an HDMI ARC cable and the compatibility is amazing. One of the things I looked for in a sound bar is clear audios, especially for movies that the music overpowers the dialogue. There are times where it feels like the sound is a little cheap but I want to blame that more on what I’m watching/playing. Otherwise, the sound is so crisp my neighbors could watch my TV from my window and still hear everything if I have it loud enough. I’ve only had an issue with connectivity once but it was an easy fix once you get to know the system; a short nuisance if anything. I barely use the remote control since I control everything from my TV remote, but I do find it nice that I can use the sound bar remote to adjust the bass. I did get the speaker on sale, but I feel like it’s been worth every penny so far.

I bought this bar for my parents who have an LG OLED CX TV that won’t properly display the volume level when using any soundbar it seems. With this soundbar the LG TV still doesn’t display the volume but at least it can be referenced on the Sony soundbar to solve the problem. The drawback is that the soundbar always says “TV” and I wish it would just be shut off after a minute. Also this soundbar isn’t DTS:X or Dolby Atmos compatible but it has Sony Surround at least. Also the remote is pretty basic but it’s perfect for my parents who aren’t enthusiastic to learn to use new technology. I think Sony soundbars are underrated for the most part and I would recommend this for the price, especially at the Amazon warehouse price I paid!

It would be difficult to describe every thing that I dislike about the sound bar. First, mounting it under a 42 inch top-of-the-line Sony TV is really sloppy because it has only two keyholes for mounting. So it really can’t be mounted level or flush, but just kinda hangs there from the keyholes that are there. This of course creates a gap of light underneath your sleek TV and sound bar.Secondly, it is infuriating trying to actually get the TV program to match with the Sony sound bar using the Sony TV. It’s constantly switching back-and-forth between TV speakers and the HDMI sound bar speakers. Of course you can shut everything down, which is easy if everything is hooked up to the same surge protector, and restart everything. Then for a short period of time the TV and the sound bar sound will work together. But that’s just for a little while. Maybe within an hour, maybe the same day or certainly by the next day you gotta go through the whole sequence again to get things to sync . And then when the TV and speaker do come on together and you switch channels, well then then all is lost. This is just an absolute piece of junk.

I bought this unit used from Amazon for a third of the cost to replace my 13 yr-old LG soundbar to marry with my Sony Bravia TV. It works seamlessly with my TV and produces great sound only after taking the soundbar out of demo mode. It's very important to check that the soundbar is Not in demo mode, otherwise you will not get the full sound potential; the sound will be flat. To get the full bass from the subwoofer really depends on where you place the subwoofer in your room. I noted placing the subwoofer in the corner behind me provides improved bass rather than next to the tv. The soundbar works great for the price paid. A much deeper, rich sound compared to my old LG soundbar. Would recommend if you can't or don't want to spend a small fortune for a top of the line soundbar. A great bargain for the price I paid.

It's an excellent sound system with Sony's crisp clear sound quality and high quality built and materials. While it's not a full theater sound system and does not provide a full theater surround system experience, it still is a huge step up from the TV speakers. It doesn't give a huge "wow" factor but it does a great job providing a crisp clear sound. The bass is not over bloated and is smooth, which is great for watching the movies. It's ok for listening to the music but it's not what it is designed for.The TV used to pair this soundbar with is Sony Bravia XR X90K. I tried to use Bluetooth connection, which was immediately recognized by both devices and the sound quality was good with no delays or whatsoever. Also, tried with an 8K UHD ARC HDMI certified high quality cable through an eARC port on TV. The TV immediately recognized that there is a Sony Soundbar connected and offered to complete a setup. The bass lines do sound slightly crispier through the cable but the difference between BT and HDMI is hardly any noticeable.
