Definitely surprised on its feel, smoothness,. The quality is definitely there, it's performance, is exactly how they show you very smooth cast. Best bang for your money if you like being flashy.

I own three of Sougayilang reels, the 1000, the 2000, and the 3000. They are beautiful and work amazing. These are great reels and perform perfectly. Amazing deal for the money.

This is a nice looking reel out of the box and seems to operate smoothly but sizing is just strange for a 1000. The grip is just too big. It's a good grip size for a 4000 and up. The foot is also too big for mounting to an ultralight rod. It's both long and thick with the potential to crack the reel seats. All in all for a light jigging setup for trout this is awkward to hold and use. It just feels imbalanced.

I bought this for river salmon fishing on my 13.6 noodle rod. Its been fantastic. Looks really nice and so far has worked flawlessly. I've caught several fish in the 15-20lb range without issue.
