I purchased this Soyus 20V string trimmer about a month ago. It came in timely manner, the box was undamaged and the trimmer was partially intact but was easy enough to put together. The trimmer came with two, (2) batteries and they were both charged. I have used the string trimmer once a week since buying it and it works great! It is lightweight, easy to maneuver and it has three (3) trimmer settings which I have found very useful. My yard is large and the batteries last one hour before needing recharging. The price for the trimmer was also extremely competitive so a win-win for me. I highly recommend the Soyus 20 V cordless string trimmer. Subsequent to this purchase I bought the Soyus 20V 22" cordless hedge trimmer and I am just as happy with that purchase.

Product was easy to assemble, just 3 parts that had to be placed. Completed in about 5 minutes. And no I didn't read the instructions, as intuitive assembly is always my benchmark for a good product design. Second, I took it out and immediately started trimming my lawn (my gas powered trimmer died for a 3rd time, which is why I went electric) and I was really impressed with the RPM's/Torque of this compact electric trimmer. I've got caterpillar grass (poor man's St. Augustine) and it's as tough as nails, but this trimmer cut through it no sweat. I have to admit, I had low expectations, because typically electric lawn and garden tools are just underpowered compared to gas powered devices, but this trimmer is legit! While I wouldn't want to trim the South Forty with it on a 2Ah battery, for my small yard, it will work great. This bundle came with two batteries, charger, and 8 spools of nylon line. I consider that a solid value for $79. I had already purchased the Soyus leaf blower, and was real pleased with the performance there as well. And it also came with two 2Ah batteries. So now I've got both tools, four batteries, two chargers, and everything I need to maintain the yard. Let's see how they hold up over time.....very pleased so far. Soyus claims they've been designing/mfg. garden tools for over 30 years, and I have to say it shows in their products. I'm impressed. And I'm a tool snob, so it takes a lot to impress me.....

One day I was sitting on the toilet. I had a rather large dukey. It looked sharp like I could possibly weed eat my yard. So I gave it a try. It was ok but thought I'd rather splurge and have a real weed eater. So I settled on this. OH MY GERD! This thing dismantles itself in the middle of the unit while using it. AND it appears to run out of string (4 times now) only to find out the company gave me old, crappy string so it randomly breaks and you have to rethread it (it's not empty friends). The button to turn it on gets stuck so you can get it on but not OFF. This is an awesome product! Said no one ever. I want my money back, my time back, and counseling appointment refunds. Moral of the story - use your own POS. Don't buy this POS!!

The Soyus cordless trimmer packs a lot of power the price and is adequate for a large yard. As other reviewers have noted, the assembly instructions are poorly written, but there is only one screw involved and three parts to attach. The maximum length of the adjustable handle is on the short side and if you are taller than 5'-10" this trimmer will likely strain your back. The edger feature is smartly designed for maintaining a landscape border, although the trimmer is not powerful enough to create the edge. It comes with two 20 v batteries and nine spools of cord which is very generous for the price point. Overall, a powerful and lightweight trimmer, suitable for maintaining a large yard.

So far I’m really liking the product, we will see how well the batteries hold up originally I had a different brand and the battery was horrible, this one seems to hold a solid charge, easy assembly and light weight, good bit of power also!

I just got mine and used it for the first time. My only complaints are, needs better assembly instructions and it would be very nice if the handle was longer. Good for light work but still need a gas powered for any grass that is heavy.

I bought this because I only have a very small area that needs to be cut (I live in a condo), and while it does the job, it's a total piece of trash and would not hold up to a yard of normal size. It constantly separates in the middle causing me to hold awkwardly, and the battery only lasts for about 20 min. If I still had a full-size yard this would NEVER be acceptable. For an extra $20 you can get a Black and Decker that is quality, this is a cheap Chinese trimmer that is poor quality.

Having several spools and two Chargers are excellent. Had great difficulty in fixing the protector, ultimately fixed it the end facing downwards but not upwards as shown in the picture. This machine does not look Strong/robust. However, is good for a small garden/yard

The two pieces for the top and bottom (that you attached when it comes), does not stay attached together. Doesn't matter how tight I tightened it it always detaches while I'm in the middle of using and it's left dangling by the wires. This product is also not very useful for anybody over 5' tall and you need to keep yourself very hunched over to reach what you want to cut. I've been neglecting my yard because every time I use this I get behind frustrated and it's beyond the return window now, and I should have just returned it when I first got it.Only thing positive I can say is that the battery lasts long, but then again that may be because I get so fed up and just stop using it.
