The staple remover was not with the other items I ordered and was told all of them were together. The staple remover showed up in a subsequent shipment for my husband. I tried to communicate this to Amazon but there isn't a place to do that. As a consequence there is a jumble of attempts. The product is great, no issues. I use the device often and when I lost mine I needed one fast. It did come fast but goodness I would like more direct communication with Amazon.

This is a preliminary review, as I have had this product for a day. I do a lot of staple removing, for a scanning project to get rid of multiple boxes of paper, and I finally decided to get some new staple removers. I bought the Bostitch Professional Magnetic Easy Staple Remover, and the Sparco 86000 Staple Remover. I was most excited about the Bostich, and eager to try it out. I was initially impressed at how smooth and easy it worked, and how it captured staples, but as I worked a bit more and attacked the flimsy receipts that were stapled too near the corner, the Bostich was taking bits of paper with it, and spitting out staples at an alarming rate. Trying the Sparco, I was impressed at the feel of it, and how it would take out the staple with the minimum of damage to the paper. I have to admit to having much more experience with the jaw type staple remover, so I have the feel of the Sparco down already, and may not be used to the Bostich style of Staple remover.Jay

Works OK, but is flimsier than my old one which looks exactly like the this item's picture. The one I got is more fragile. It will not last as long as the 7 years I have had the old one. Metal gauge is 2/3 of the old one; the plastic tabs are narrower and smaller. Just much cheaper quality. So far on 1 standard staple, it worked fine. Update ordered another one and this one has thicker metal than the last one needs and tabs are wider also. One more star, so up to 4.

I was bummed when I misplaced the staple remover I've had for DECADES. It fits well in my hand and is very sturdy. So when I finally broke down and committed to replacing it (it'll probably show up soon now that I've got a new one!) I was glad I sifted through the many choices and settled on this reasonably priced, good quality tool. When it came in the mail I was relieved; with so many options, the paradox of choice can leave us feeling dissatisfied. This isn't cheaply made - this little ditty didn't disappoint!

This works as perfectly as any other staple remover I have ever used. It removes staples. Yes, sometimes you have to pull the staples off the staple remover, but all the ones like this work that way.
