Why are the speaker spikes useful?

The speaker decoupling prevents unpleasantdrumming and brings audibly more precision and balance in low, mid and high frequencies.

Acoustic coupling is achieved with spikes. They are placed on the bottom of the speaker with the tip facing the floor, and between the tip and the floor is placed a support plate, so that the floor is not damaged.

The speaker spikes come in the slim version. The cone shape and the small contact surface guide the vibrations over the cabinet into the floor.Back vibrations that could act from the floor on the speaker cabinet,they keep out because of their shape.

SONYのサウンドバー HT-A7000に使用。HT-A7000をテレビボードに直置きしていたときは特にサブウーハーの振動が直接テレビボードに伝わり共振している感じでしたが、こちらを使用したところテレビボードに触れても最小限の振動のみ感じるという状態となりました。音の変化が細かく分かるほどの耳をもっていませんが、個人的な印象としては低音のこもりが減って高音の伸びが良くなったかなぁ？といった印象です。今回は横幅130cm・重量8.7kgのサウンドバーでの使用だったため、スパイクパーツをサウンドバー側に貼り付けて位置決めをしてからベースマット（受け皿部分）を滑り込ませていく作業がなかなか大変でした。インシュレーターは素材や価格など上を見えればキリがないかと思いますが、こちらの商品はコスパ・見た目・梱包・シール精度とも満足のいくものでした。

FOSTEXの幅10センチほどの小型スピーカーをテーブルの上に直接置いていたのですが、音抜けがいまいちと感じたので、ダメ元で、このインシュレーターを取り付けてみました。プラスティック製で見た目は安っぽいですが、高さは2センチほどあり、これを取り付けたことにより低音が響くようになり、音の抜けも良くなりました。コスパがとても良い商品だと思います。

2台のスピーカーに初めてインシュレーターをつけてカラオケで歌ってみたら、いつもよりも断然、クリアな音が出て自分の声も良く聞こえてビックリしました。そんなに違うかな？と思っていたので嬉しい事になりました。
