1 1/2" a 2" valves are used as return flow valves for our in- ground swimming pool. This spring I found a broken valve stem. It was so easy to change out and repair for the simple cost of buying a new valve. I used the moving gate part in the new valve and replaced the old one in the old body of the valve.A very simple fix with out needing to remove the old body of the valve that in all that piping!

The gate came in defective, with no protection in the packaging but the box didn't have a scratch so this tells me it was sent like this. it is inconvenient to send it back and then wait again to get another one when it should be right the first time.

I bought this item for an autofill to a swimming pool. The pool was built probably 15 years ago so I did not know if I could get an exact replacement. I looked everywhere, and as a last resort, Amazon had it. Quality is exactly the same, and now I don't need the hose to keep the water level intact in the pool!
