This filter works great! I immediately noticed a difference in response from my throttle. Keep note that this won’t gain you a lot of horsepower but the response from your engine will improve. My car used to bog down when I was in second gear in acceleration but since I installed the Spectre filter my car runs smooth. I haven’t noticed any significant change in my mpg but that doesn’t really matter to me. I would definitely recommend buying this filter especially because of the price. Best bang for your buck compared to a K&N drop in filter. 18$ vs 50$ is a big difference and both filters do the same thing like increase airflow and is washable. So if your thinking of buying this filter I would say yes buy it!

After searching around for a replacement rechargeable air filter I stumbled upon this one, I didn't know Spector made a drop in air filter so I jumped on the chance. I haven't noticed a change in MPG yet (it's probably because I'm running snow tires and winter grade fuels are now here) but I have noticed a throatier sound under heavy acceleration, I will put some miles on it and review again when summer comes back. Good quality and seems to work great!4/6/15 UPDATE: Well, I noticed a slight gain in MPG. Only about one mile to the gallon more than what my car is rated for, With city driving and freeway driving. I'm still happy with it, it gets more smiles to the gallon really with the way it makes the car sound under heavy acceleration. I would deffinitely buy this again!!Update 5/3/16: Still running strong, it's due for its annual cleaning but for the most part it performs just as well as any K&N filter I've had in the past. Highly recommended to anyone that wants a high flow filter that can be easily cleaned annually.

with about 500 miles on it, so far I've got .2 mpg average since installing. 22.9 average mpg on a 2012 3.5L lexus es350. No problems with map sensor.

I installed this on my Rav4 with the V6 engine. Has a little more deep sound now, which I don't mind. I think it's just slightly louder than the OEM air filter.As for perceived gains, I think there's ever so slightly more power. Now, this may just be the placebo effect but I'm happy with my purchase. Instead of paying for an OEM filter, get this one!OEM filter from the dealership was $50 installed. This literally look me 2 minutes to install... In fact faster than the cabin air filter! This is also a great value when compared with the other name brand high flow air filters.

Just follow the directions for your car and clean every 6-12,000 miles depending on dust and debris in your area...I tracked my mileage for 3 fill-ups before installing and averaged 26.79 mpg in my Pontiac Vibe 2.4L with a oem filter. After I am getting 27.46 over the last 3 fill-ups... Which if I do my average of 18,000 miles a year will save me about 17 gallons of gas. At $3.75 per gallon it will have paid for itself, the cost of the cleaning kit and bought me half a tank of gas... Not to mention I wont have to buy a new one for years if ever! As to power, I haven't noticed a real difference but in my little 2.4l 4-cyl. I don't drive in a way that requires more power... That doesn't mean it didn't add some pep. I just don't drive in a way that I would notice.

Muy buena calidad, se siente exactamente igual que un k&N del doble de precio, la instalacion fue como instalar cualquier otro filtro, no representa ningún problema.El performance, pues es una camioneta de uso familiar que junto con el filtro se hizo la afinacion completa asi que no hay realmente una marcada diferencia gracias al filtro; sin embargo el punto a favor es que por unos pesos mas respecto a un filtro de papel/algodon tengo un filtro con vida por años

The filter quality looks good.. Par with K&N which I have been using for last 5 years with once a year cleaning.. will see if this one holds up that long with half price!!The fit is not really great in my 07 V6 Camry.. I really have to spend good half an hour to close the housing.. definitely to the point I gave up on it... it is just a few mm big! That’s why 4 starts!Edit : 2022 December - it is still holding up as good and fits perfectly!! Definitely by it againEdit: 2023 September- still rock solid. Yearly cleaning with K&N filter cleaning kit!
