I hate how the connectors are plastic because I'm worried about the vibrations backing them out, but besides that I'm very happy with the quality of the filter and housing. The fact that I could do 3/8" in and 5/16" out was very handy.According to other reviews you can't buy the replacement filter elements for these though. AutoZone sells a spectre filter exactly like this one, but has a different part number. I don't know what the difference is, but they do have replacement filter elements for that one. They look like they might work, but I have no idea.Make sure to use thread sealant tape on the connection. I didn't read the instructions and it leaked gas the first time. After using Teflon tape rated for gas I had no problems!!

For use in-line on our outboard motor to see if there is water in the fuel (I've spent too much time draining the carb because water got past the integral filter on the motor).

Just be smart by taking it completely apart and cleaning all the machining junk inside before it ends up in your carburetor. I attacked the internal threads with a brass wire brush and drilled out the small holes in the threaded shaft hidden behind the fuel filter. The plastic fittings are landfill material, but the reason I bought this particular filter is the 1/8 NPT ports on both sides. I bought some brass 1/8 NPT barb fittings to use with this.If you do NOT need the 1/8 npt ports like I did, do yourself a favor and just buy the K&N brand, which is much better quality and won’t be filled with shavings and metal dust inside.

Works great, visually viewable. Helps detecting of fuel is dirty and screen needs to be changed/ know of further issues and where to start

Works like a charm, some people say it leaks, but a little fuel resistant Teflon tape and some tightening of the fittings and it works just fine and looks neat.

Better then the products made from other companies, the entire filter screws together and you won’t have problems like with others (K&N) with the threads stripping out when you go to do anything. 100% recommend this product.
