Boomerangs for Teenagers
An average teenage boy who has played at least some baseball or football can usually throw and catch a conventional boomerang after some practice. It is a learned skill, similar to golf. Small adjustments in the throw can bring improved thrower precision.
Competition Boomerangs for Adults
Competition boomerangs are generally a little heavier and often faster than a boomerang for a child. A lot of teenagers compete in boomerang competitions but these boomerangs are generally for at least 13 and above ages.

This boomerang works great! My 12 year old son loves it! After a few throws he was getting it to return right back to him. It's difficult to use in any wind as it's pretty light, but it's tons of fun to play with.

Please see my review of the Blue Fast Catch Racer. My orange Fast Catch booma came with a significant bend in one wing. A few minutes of flexing under a hot kitchen tap and it was suitably flat. Flies well, and looks good in the air. The color makes it easier to find. It requires a little time to develop the strength and technique to get consistent returns and catches. You'll do a bit of walking/running, but that is part of the fun. This booma has a hard edge to it, and can inflict significant injury, so throw and catch with care!

Well i can throw it on roofs but it doesnt come back. Maybe it has to be windy.

I ordered this and the Polypropylene Pro Sports Boomerang at the same time and they both work great. They fly very differently but they are both great for lots of fun with our kid. They are both very light weight and vert sturdy, so if they hit something hard they are not likely to break.

Spent an hour with this with my son following the instructions and trying to get it to fly right. Made a bunch of nice divots in the ground 20 feet in front of us and put it underneath a car once, but other than that didn't actually act as any sort of return boomerang. You pay for what you get.

May be it will boomerang in some big field, but not for use in front yard. I did not see it come back

My first boomerang. It might rate 5 stars but I am still learning how to use it...wind direction, etc. I am hoping it will get better. December weather probably not the best time to use it.
