This was exactly what I needed to stabilize my home embroidery machine, and it works even better when I'm using my sewing machine and serger. I'd been using a couple of small lap quilts I made to act as a buffer between my machines and the hard tabletop, but two layers of this thin, soft, spongy Neoprene did the trick. It's muted and softened the vibrations to where they're almost unnoticeable. It's also a portable solution, as you can just roll it up and take it with you if you need to craft elsewhere and on the go. This will be a terrific help to use for those fold-up tables at craft-ins and mini-cons.

So far I’ve used this mat for small projects around the house. Small squares to act as "feet" for a cutting board that had lost them. Placing underneath the speakers on the bookcase so reduce vibration, which was cause a buzzing sound when music was playing. A placemat to go under the cat’s dishes. The material is easy to cut with either a craft knife or scissors. I have plenty left over and I want to try crafts with them, including using a heat gun to try to mold them a little, but I haven’t tried that yet.I can think of a lot of simple things around the house this would be good for.

I bought this foam to use in my socket set , it prevents the sockets from rattling loose in the case. It took some cutting but it turned out great.

This is a Neoprene Rubber Strips Roll for DIY Gaskets (1/8" Thick X 13" Wide X 80" Long). The neoprene rubber is soft and pliable so it compresses nicely to fit between different surfaces. The thickness and density makes it a nice surface for drawers or cabinets to store tools or other items that you want to protect, or to protect the drawers or shelves they are on. This neoprene also makes a nice vibration damper for light items such as tools or other small moving or vibrating objects.

It's not "neoprene". It's just foam.
