I'm using this whistle to train my dog to come on command. It appears well made, but does not come with a lanyard. I have to be careful using this whistle as it can be very loud if you don't. That can be a good thing if you are out in the country or are using it for protection. In my residential neighborhood, I don't want to disturb my neighbors late at night, so I just have to moderate how hard I blow. The whistle make a piercing sound, which gets my dogs attention instantly. So far, using treat rewards, she come almost immediately. As I wean her off the treats, I hope to make her reaction second nature. Very satisfied with purchase.

I bought several of these and give a brand new one to each of my dog sitters so they don't have to worry about others' germs. They get my dog's attention just before I use my verbal recall when she is a fair distance away. They are inexpensive but work well.

This whistle is terrible. It's supposed to be a field whistle and it's not loud. This was a gift from my daughter because she is whistle training her dog off lead. Don't waste your money.

I have bought several whistles... and all of them are awful. My search is over. This little guy is mighty, it's easy and it works exactly how a whistle should. I love the color too!

Easy to use. Tone is good for calling dogs back. It is not too shrill a sound.

This whistle barely works. The sound is very faint. You get what you pay for. Waist of money for dog training
